- Glacier 3000 – Ride the cable car up to the glacier for stunning views and scenery. Walk across the glacier top from where you arrive in the cable car to the Refuge L’Espace restaurant on the edge for fantastic sights.
- Chillon Castle – Sitting at the foot of the Alps on the shores of Lake Geneva is this castle which dates back to at least the 12th century and which is definitely worth visiting.
- Lavaux Vineyard Terraces – The terraces can be traced back to religious orders from the eleventh century. The view of Lake Geneva from the terraces is extraordinary and there is a path running along the hill to take you on a tour of them.

January 2015Le Bourg
Is a chic and lovely destination in the small historical town of Lutry. The owners have fully automated the key access so arrival can be flexible. The location is excellent for a spring, summer or fall visit when the wine tasting offices are open and the roads are clear for cycling etc. The setting on the lake could not be more beautiful. I would not stay in early January when the town is completely closed including the more desirable restaurants. Rooms are small but fully equipped for residence with a cook top and utensils etc. I don't recommend more than two people to a room unless you are not planning on spending time in the room. The very modern reception now hosts a cafe for breakfast 'plat du jour" lunch and dinner with a charming host. Beautiful location and again great for spring, summer or fall. ”

October 2013Wonderful, small boutique hotel in a superb location
We had a wonderful stay at this lovely little boutique hotel in the charming village of Lutry close to Lausanne on Lac Léman, Switzerland. Though very small (c.32m2), our "suite" was cosy, beautifully furnished with a very comfortable bed, an excellent shower room which was restocked daily with top end toiletries and a very useful little kitchenette. The optional breakfast at 22 CHF per person was served in the chic reception area where wine and tapas were also served in the afternoon/evening (until 9pm weekdays and 11pm Fridays and Saturdays). The staff was excellent, the nicest people who went out of their way to help and advise us so we could make the most of our stay and the hotel is spotlessly clean with great housekeeping. It should be noted, however, that the photos of the bedrooms shown on 3rd Home are largely of the 75m2 "The Loft", which is not available to 3rd Home guests. We did feel that this was misleading as the "suite" we were offered did feel very cramped even for 2 people to spend a week in (a tiny wardrobe with 6 hangers and 2 drawers for clothes). For 4 people it would have been extremely difficult, especially since the bathroom is accessed via the main sleeping area (divided off from the lounge/kitchenette by a sliding door). Apart from the space issue we really loved Le Bourg and this would definitely not put us off wanting to return again in the future. Lutry is a delightful village and a great base for touring this stunning area of Switzerland.”

February 2013Week at Le Bourg Feb 1, 2013
Le Bourg is in Lutry, which is a small village on the shore of Lake Geneva. Lutry was wonderful to walk around and try out the local restaurants and cafes. Le Bourg is about a block from Lake Geneva. We traveled twice into the Swiss Alps and very much enjoyed the wonderful scenery and skiing. We also enjoyed going to Chillion Castle in Montreux. Wonderful and very interesting. Le Bourg is a small hotel with new well finished clean suites. We enjoyed our stay at Le Bourg. Parking was not a problem as we always found parking at the church across the street. Ana and her staff were very accommodating and helpful. The WiFi worked well as did all the fixtures in the unit. Try and get a GPS to use in getting to and from the hotel, since there are many one way streets. Thorsten Cook New Fairfield, Ct, USA”
