Chalet L’Arole

Chalet L’Arole is located in the exclusive Chesières enclave of Villars, close to the world-renowned Aiglon and Beau Soleil colleges. This impressive, eight-bedroom alpine residence is set out over four floors and sits on 6460 square feet, comfortably accommodating 16 guests in eight individually designed en-suite bedrooms.

Originally built in 1904 and previously owned by the House of Chanel dynasty, the chalet has undergone an extensive renovation that was completed in 2013. The exterior of the chalet has been lovingly restored while the interior has undergone a complete transformation with a key focus on sustainability. Many of the original features have been retained, and fine materials, such as handcrafted wood paneling, natural stones, and antique and contemporary furniture have all been utilized to create an outstanding, luxurious family home. The latest security and entertainment systems have also been incorporated into the infrastructure.

The ground floor houses the stylish dining room and sitting rooms, as well as the dining room, the main entrance, and kitchen. The drawing room provides access to two spacious south and west facing terraces. This chalet provides a sophisticated venue for entertaining. Canapés and pre-dinner drinks are taken in the drawing room while dinner is served in the impressive wood-paneled dining room before retiring to the log fire in the sitting room with a glass of your favorite digestive.

A wonderful glass and oak staircase opens up the center of the property, accessing all floors. Seven of the eight en-suite bedrooms are located on the top two floors of the chalet, a number of which have access to one of the two balconies. The two master bedrooms incorporate spacious bathrooms and dressing rooms. All, bar two, of the bedrooms can be configured either as two twins or a double bedroom, providing flexible sleeping arrangements.

On the lower floor, you’ll find another en-suite bedroom, the boot room, a television and game room, the laundry room, and an extensive wine cellar. The pool and hot tub are located on the terrace of this floor, which also gives access to the fitness area, sauna, and massage room, located in a separate building adjacent to the garage. The heated swimming pool and cedar hot tub are perfect for relaxing and enjoying dramatic mountain views.

The chalet has one internal and three external parking places.
