Great location but a tad uncomfortable.

The location is within walking distance to everything and Joel was great. However, the couch is filthy and is the only piece of furniture. The toilet is a pain as it runs after every flush. The bathroom is super dark. Overall, compared to other properties, it is quite small and uncomfortable for a week's stay. Hardest pillows ever. ”

Great flat in a fun location

Our host was tremendously helpful!!! This white flat in the Yellow House in Sydney is amazing. I walked everywhere...really... everywhere from the flat. I walked to the Museums (almost all free), the Sydney Opera House, and across the Sydney Harbor Bridge. The food in Sydney is fantastic, and the host's recommendations were all great. We tried 5 of those recommended restaurants (all just downstairs from the flat). We did a one-day tour to the zoo and the Blue Mountains. Highly recommend. Thank you so much for a wonderful week in Sydney.”

Excellent Location

Cool, comfortable, and convenient we had a great stay in the “Yellow House”. The location was great with so many sights and numerous restaurants within walking distance. Checkin/out were straightforward and communication excellent. We would definitely recommend Joel’s home. ”

Great location, but disappointing place

The location in Potts Point is great. Joel Trethoven, the manager of this place, is quite responsive. There are many good restaurants nearby, several good coffee shops where you can get great coffee and breakfast, and the train station is nearby to get to other places in Sydney. The street is safe and fun for the family, although closer to the train station, there are derelicts and porno shops. However, the house itself was not very comfortable or convenient. The landing when you get out of the elevator to get into the apartment was dirty and smelly. This is because of other tenants who live in this apartment complex. In the living room, there was that iconic yellow sofa which was not very clean and is uncomfortable for us old people to get in and out of. There were no other comfortable place to sit and talk. The dining room area had a great counter to eat and work, but the high chairs were not comfortable. The kitchen had nice appliances, including a Nexpresso machine that takes small pods (you have to buy your own pods). However, there was only one wine glass (several champaign flutes) and no cork opener. The bathroom was dark, especially with the dark tiles and the toilet runs unless you stand there and jiggle the handle to stop it (the water tank is behind the wall and inaccessible). The bedroom has one wall light that is relatively dim and shines right in your face when you are sitting up. The patio is a good place to sit and hear the wonderful birds, but the steel table is dirty and the wire chairs are uncomfortable to sit in for any length of time. The garden space here needs maintenance. I would rate this place as a good Airbnb, but I am not sure I would trade in 6 keys and pay extra points to stay here. Overall, we were quite disappointed.”

Fantastic house in perfect location!

This house should be renamed the "Happy House". It is so much fun and comfort, like no other. We enjoyed all of the traditional tourist sites but had the most fun exploring the neighborhood. Joel is a splendid host, and the house is decorated with wonderful touches. The sofa manufacturer is on my short list for my next furniture purchase!”
