Fall Foliage Trip to Colorful Maine

Our stay at the Thirdhome property was truly exceptional. Gena, our host, was incredibly accommodating and shared wonderful recommendations for local attractions and dining options. The house itself, along with the surrounding property, was a designer's dream and an architect's masterpiece. As my husband and I have spent our careers in the design/build industry, we were able to truly appreciate the intricate details and craftsmanship throughout. The charming town added to the allure of our experience. Visiting Maine in the fall had long been on our bucket list, so when Rice Point Waterfront caught my eye during my search, I seized the opportunity. As is often the case when booking nearly a year in advance, life can throw a few surprises. Gena was wonderfully understanding, allowing us to adjust our stay so I could attend my daughter's engagement party. We were blessed with beautiful weather for our autumn getaway and relished returning each day to our lovely home after our adventures. There was something magical about turning on the fireplace and gazing out at the water—it was the perfect way to unwind and savor the moment. ”

Absolutely perfect getaway to Maine!

Our stay in Boothbay was absolutely perfect and made for a great getaway to Maine. Gena could not have been a nicer host and her property is absolutely stunning. I honestly don't know if there's a single feature of the property that I'd change. It's evident throughout that the design, furnishings and decor was well planned out and it all comes together perfectly to give the quintessential Maine feeling. The property is very private and sits on a point with fantastic views. The grounds are very well maintained and the flowers that surround the home really make the property glow 24/7. There are so many great gathering areas both inside and outside the home with a great sun room and a nice hot tub with waterfront views, perfect for taking in a Maine coastal sunset. Boothbay is a beautiful town with plenty of good shops and eateries -- Mine Oyster was a favorite and the food was spectacular there. A day in Portland is a good day trip as well and there's plenty of scenic drives all around. You simply can't go wrong with a stay at this home. It's a fabulous fit within THIRDHOME.”

A little piece of heaven in Maine

This home is absolutely beautiful as was the property on which it sits. We arrived during a cold spell and the heat hadn’t been turned on so we had to spend the first evening huddled in front of the fireplace on the living room couches to keep warm. But once the property manager had someone come out and turn the heat on it was wonderful. (Suggestion: if you are going to arrive during a cooler time of year, you might want to request that the owner have the heat turned on prior to your arrival because it is a complicated heating system and the place is so big, it takes a full day or so to warm it up). Note: the owner keeps some clothing in the master closet, some cosmetics, shampoos, etc in the bathroom and food in the fridge/freezer, but nothing was locked off and there was more than enough room for our our things as well, especially since the house has a separate walk in food pantry for groceries. We were aware that the pool and hot tub would not be available for use until Memorial Day weekend, the week after our stay, but since it was so unseasonably cold we wouldn’t have used them anyway. All in all, we highly recommend this property to anyone interested in visiting the East Boothbay area. ”

Magnificent Home on the water

This was the most magnificent home located right . on the water with a patio and hot tube right near the water. The home is brand new! I felt our family was the first to use it, so was a bit intimidated as to keep it so spotless. New everything! Beautiful bedrooms and baths, well laid out for a family. Great sitting TV areas including a summer porch with wood burning fireplace. New heated swimming pool adjacent to the double free standing garage with a great full apartment above with its own kitchen, double bunks. The owner was extremely easy to work with. I can't say enough great things. It deserves 10 stars!”

Luxury Fulfilled......

Just a fantastic new waterfront property near the mouth of the Damariscotta River and only a short drive to Boothbay Harbor. No expense was overlooked in creating this beautiful custom designed "summer cottage". Our group of 6 adults had lots of room to spread out either inside or out of doors. High end appliances, comfortable beds and linens complement the designer furniture throughout, including the "bunk house" over the detached garage. The modern kitchen was fully equipped while the landscaping matched the great efforts put into the recent construction of the property. The owner was very communicative and easy to work with...... We couldn't have had a better experience. ”
