August 2024High Desert Beauty
Our assembled group of relatives from around the country thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa de Campo. The open concept and numerous large windows allowed wonderful views of the mountains, accented by the twilight alpen glow. We loved assembling on the upstairs porch in the evening to watch the colors change and the shadows deepen. Inside, the floor plan flows gracefully to accommodate family members grouping for conversation, reading, eating or humming to the music on the record player. Neil Diamond, The Doors, Michael Jackson—We hadn’t listened to these records in years! The kitchen was well stocked and easy to work in, and the sleeping arrangements were comfortable. Both the owners and the caretaker made sure we had everything we needed and answered all questions promptly with good recommendations for shopping, restaurants and activities. We love the high desert and mountains, and would heartily recommend a stay at Caso de Campo. ”

July 2023Nice home with a great view!
The owner was very kind and helpful and the house was well equipped. He left bikes for us and great suggestions for our stay. The view was great and we hope to go again. ”

August 2022A Wonderful Stay
The pictures don't do justice to this wonderful home. It is so comfortable and charming, very much in the 80s southwest theme. The living room and dining room windows open up to expansive views of the nearby mountains. We also enjoyed watching four different species of hummingbirds fly and alight on the branches of a fir tree in the backyard right out the living room window. The sunsets were fantastic and the night sky amazing for stargazing with almost no light pollution. The house itself is cozy and well lit, with nice separate living areas for couples traveling together. The kitchen was efficient and well stocked making it easy to create dinners in while enjoying listening to LPs on the turntable. So much fun. We brought along our pup and appreciated a nice walkable neighborhood for his morning and evening walks. The location is close enough to town for convenience but far enough away for peace and quiet. Thank you to our hosts for opening this special home to us. Memories were made here. ”
