If you've never stayed at Vidanta you are missing out! The grand luxxe rooms and facilities are the best we've ever stayed in. Vidanta knows how to make guests feel welcome and appreciated. We really enjoyed the new amenities that had been added since the last time we stayed there. The Beach club was amazing! If you have a family traveling with you, then Jungala is another place you just have to see. Water slides, lazy river, and a large kids play area. We totally recommend Vidanta to all of our friends.”

Spacious Suite and Deck

We enjoyed our stay at the Grand Luxxe Vidanta Riviera Maya in April. The apartment had plenty of room and a very nice large deck. The Grand Luxxe Residence resort areas were less crowded than the rest of the resort. While we were in Mexico for a friend's wedding at a nearby resort, we enjoyed being able to spend our days at the beach club, pool areas and several of the restaurants. Note: The Villas are not separate villas but small apartments within large apartment buildings.”

I would go back tomorrow if I could! The resort and grounds are absolutely stunning, and the staff is so welcoming and ready to please their guests. I highly recommend the Beach Club (exclusive to Grand Luxxe guests) and eating at Salum! Also, downloading the Vidanta Resorts app was extremely beneficial in navigating around the resort and finding translations for restaurant menus.”

For Those With a Higher Standard

Vidanta Grand Luxxe Riviera Maya is an amazing resort with wonderful choices pertaining to restaurants, pools and activities. The staff is well trained and dedicated to customer service. The entire resort is very clean and well maintained. Our daily housekeeping kept our villa looking fresh during the entire week. I would definitely recommend Vidanta Grand Luxxe to other “Thirdhomers” and I look forward to returning. ”

Sadly, not worth the money

Food wasn’t great, strangely for Mexico, lacking in spice and seasoning. Staying in the city closer to the usable beach would’ve been more fun. Sadly the guests weren’t as openly accepting of gay people as the staff was, so that soured our time at the pool quite a bit. Room was beautiful but had a spider problem. ”

Wonderful stay for a group of eight

We reserved four rooms through Third Home: a two bedroom, and three one bedroom suites. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Vidanta Grand Luxxe. The accommodation was beautifully appointed, spacious, clean and modern. The resort staff were friendly, helpful and courteous. The resort grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Our favorite parts of the resort were the Beach Club, a beautiful pool area for Grand Luxxe members with fabulous cabanas, drinks and food, and the Salum Beachside Eateries and Market. Further to the above, on the plus side: rooms are even bigger than they appear in the photos, really high end; food at the resort was above expectations and a very pleasant surprise; the Beach Club pool, the only real option, unless you love swim up bars (which is in the main pool with everyone else at the resort); and Dalila, our concierge and contact at the Vidanta for Third Home. She mentioned the time share sales pitch but never pressed us to do it. She was also very helpful with checkin and getting beer and wine put in the rooms before our guests arrived. Only a couple small things on the down side: checkin is a long process (one hour from arrival to room); the resort is huge, so you will need to take trams (like Disney) to get around to some places (checkin and out, golf, Cirque du Soleil); beach is average at best and near impossible to go into the water because of rocks/reef, it is a pool resort not a beach resort. The "negatives" are minor and should not deter you. Just wanted to share for full transparency. We loved our trip (eight of us) and had a wonderful time. Can't say enough good things about Vidanta... Beautiful property, great food, 2 gyms, many activities, Cirque de Soleil, water park, terrific service and super nice people. Everything was spectacular...they even upgraded me to a two bedroom spa suite! Highly recommend... ”
