At the edge of the forest in the heart of Germany, Waldhaus receives its guests with a warm and cozy atmosphere, all year round. Up to receive six people, this property invites guests and their families to admire the beauty of nature, enjoying quality and invigorating moments. In a very quiet location, surrounded by beautiful trees, this cottage offers the sensation of being in the middle of a magic forest.

The German Land of Saxony-Anhalt is known for the scenic vistas, enchanting villages with cobbled alleys and timber-framed houses, castles, ancient pagan rituals, and caves. From Waldhaus, guests can easily explore the area, exciting the imagination, reason why the fireplace will be the best place to spend evenings telling stories after a long day of hiking through the nearby woodland or walking through historical sites and cities, while enjoying the taste of the local ‘Börde Speck’ cheese accompanied by a glass of a sparkling Sekt wine.

From the spacious entrance area, with loads of natural light and leather seating, guests will enter the living room that is directly adjacent to the fully equipped kitchen, which has everything you might need to cook local recipes. With all the charm of a traditional cottage, Waldhaus also features stunning facilities. Guests who fancy a pamper day will relax in the private steam baths sauna, which includes a relaxation room with a shower in the basement.

This three-bedroom cottage is ideal for 6 guests, one is situated on the basement and the other two on the attic floor, these last two are separated by a curtain. In addition to the 2 bathrooms, the property also boasts a an underfloor heating on the ground floor to provide guests with maximum comfort.

Outside, the dining areas include a grill and two large morning and evening terraces with solid wood benches. From the west terrace, guests will be able to watch squirrels nibble at the feed box several times a day. All year round, the region offers activities aplenty, as cycling and walking, and the garage can easily store bicycles, strollers, and other leisure equipment. The plot also benefits from enough space for up to 5 vehicles and a parking space under the carport of the cottage can also be used as a seating and barbecue area during rainy days.

Waldhaus is ideally situated a short distance away from the historical city of Wittenberg. Located between Leipzig and Berlin, the city is famous as home to one of the world's oldest universities, founded in 1502. The city is even more important as the home of Martin Luther, who launched the Protestant Reformation there, and the city's connection with the reformer led to several of Wittenberg's historic sites being given UNESCO World Heritage status in 1996.

Departing from Wittenberg, guests can take a boat trip and explore deeply many other charming small cities, castles, and historic sites along the Elbe River and taste the best of western Germany’s culture, markets, and typical plates.

A short 30-minute drive will lead guests to the Delitzsch Castle, a castle in pastel colors surrounded by the Delitzsch Lake District attracts by a museum, a Baroque garden and a viewing tower.

At just an hour driving from Waldhaus, guests will reach Leipzig, a city where tradition rubs shoulders with zeitgeist, and where great art can be enjoyed just a few steps away from an exciting world of outdoor activities. With a history going back almost 1,000 years, this Saxon metropolis has earned more than a few claims to fame – as a city of music, of commerce, of heroes, as the site of the Peaceful Revolution, as Little Paris, Athens on the River Pleisse, and the Venice of the North.
