Description

Looking out onto the lovely garden courtyard in the back of the 15th Century Gothic 'Palazzo Loredan Dell’Ambasciatore' on the Grand Canal, Ca’ Cerchieri Mezzanine is a graceful haven of gentility and tranquility that offers seclusion with all the advantages of being on the Grand Canal. Ideally situated in the heart of Venice close to the main highlights, good restaurants, cafes, patisserie, shops on the Grand Canal, this property is the perfect place to explore ‘La Serenissima’.

As the birthplace of two ancient Doges of Venice of the Loredan family, this Palazzo is considered one of the finest in Venice and oozes history from every pore. The stylishly elegant yet cosy and very comfortable living room and the three main bedrooms all have lovely windows that look out to the owner’s private walled garden that make the rooms feel open and light.

Enjoy the restful views over the garden from the luxurious sofas, and gather in style around the separate dining room table to enjoy a traditional Risotto de Gò, one the oldest traditional local dishes cooked with a fish that lives almost exclusively in Venice lagoon. Separated from the sitting and dining spaces, the adjacent kitchen, fitted and equipped to the highest quality, will be the delight of any demanding chef!

This lovely, spacious and cozy apartment is impeccably decorated with vitality, and Ca’ Cerchieri Mezzanine features carefully selected antiques from the owner's private collection, each shown to their advantage against a complementary backdrop of sunny Mimosa yellows, vivid Prussian blues, crisp white beamed ceilings and the deep, rich patina of polished hardwood flooring.

Distributed over the first and the second floors of the Palazzo, each room has its own temperature control, offering guests a variety of temperature needs. With generously proportioned accommodation for six, there are three charming and quiet double bedrooms, each ensuring a heavenly night's sleep. While the first two bedrooms have beautifully embellished double beds and are finished in cheerful colours, the pretty third one features two chintz-covered single beds.

With an up-to-date en suite bathroom, the master bedroom provides guests with a bathtub and a separate shower, while the two further bathrooms respectively have a bathtub and a shower and are modern, spacious and immaculately presented.

For guests' upmost convenience, Ca’ Cerchieri Mezzanine boasts a private water entrance that makes using water taxis very easy for airport and train station transport, without hauling bags down small streets and over steps and bridges.

Enjoying a truly outstanding position between the Accademia Bridge, the Academy of Fine Arts and the Ca’ Rezzonico Museum of 18th Century Art, and the vaporetto stop, you will be able to discover the wonders of the lagoon and some parts of the city that are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Perhaps the best way is to simply get lost wandering through the enchanting little streets and passageways of ‘The Floating City’ that are abound with artisans, strolling beside its canals, and finding its secret corners. No matter where this exploration takes you, it's easy to find your way back to St. Mark’s square (Piazza San Marco’) and the Grand Canal. Take a walk through the most characteristic and important places of the history of Venice, and climb St. Mark’s Bell Tower and visit one of the most majestic cathedrals in the world, St. Mark’s Basilica.

After admiring the stunning views from the oldest bridge in Venice, Rialto Bridge, you will have some time to enjoy some shopping on either side of its portico. Beyond the romantic canals and picturesque architecture, guests passionate about history will easily find their way to the myriads of museums the ‘City of Masks’ has to offers, including the prestigious Gallerie dell’Accademia, the symbol of the city - the Doge’s Palace, Ca’ Pesaro International Gallery of Modern Art and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection.

Hop on board a gondola and experience the hidden canals of Venice by boat while the gondolier hums some traditional Italian melodies. Nevertheless, a trip to Venice wouldn't be complete without onboarding a vaporetto (Venetian public waterbus) for the ride across the lagoon to Murano, home of Venice's fabled glass workers. Explore the intricacies of the famed Italian handicrafts with a day trip from Venice to the nearby islands of Murano and Burano, and watch centuries-old glassblowing techniques in Murano, and marvel at the detailed stitches of exquisite Burano lace.

A perfect option for Venice

We couldn’t have been more pleased. Perfect location. Comfortable in all respects. Rachel’s made it clear she would help if required, but we didn’t need any assistance apart with arrival. Lovely stay.”
