Provisioning and Other Fees
Caribbean Cat can be chartered 3 ways:
1. Bareboat - guests captain themselves and pay for all expenses.
2. Captained bareboat - A captain is added to drive the yacht, guests are responsible for preparing all their own meals and/or eating meals ashore. There is no chef on board.
3. Fully Crewed ‘all-inclusive’ charter - yacht comes with full-time captain and chef and all meals and expenses are covered in the rate.
1. ‘Bareboat’ charter
- Guest pays actual cost of all expenses
- Fuel: estimated to be $1000-1500/wk
- Permits: $6/person/day Cruising Permits, $35 National Parks permit, $5/person/charter VISAR (search and rescue)
- Food and beverages - actual cost, paid by charterer
- Dockage (if preferred and available), $1-5/ft + power, depending on location
- Watetoys: rented by guests directly, typically $250-1000/wk
2. ‘Captained bareboat’
- $3000/wk to add a captain full-time for the charter. Rate includes captain and gratuity.
- A captain can be added with a group of up to 6 guests
- Guest pays actual cost of all expenses
- Fuel: estimated to be $1000-1500/wk
- Permits: $6/person/day Cruising Permits, $35 National Parks permit, $5/person/charter VISAR (search and rescue)
- Food and beverages - actual cost, paid by charterer
- Dockage (if preferred and available), $1-5/ft + power, depending on location
- Watetoys: rented by guests directly, typically $250-1000/wk
3. ‘Fully Crewed all-inclusive charter’
- $2,750 per person, 4 guests required (and 4 guests maximum for the fully-crewed charter option)
- All-inclusive rate includes: full-time captain and chef, all meals on board, all food and beverages (including alcohol), fuel, permits, snorkel equipment, either 2 paddleboards or 1 paddleboard and 1 kayak, and gratuities
- All-inclusive rate does not included ‘vintage’ wine or spirits, dockage (if requested), ground transportation
Fees for the captain and/or crew are paid 60 days in advance and are non-refundable.
Fees collected for all-inclusive charters (food, beverages, fuel etc.) are also collected 60 days in advance. These fees (exclusive of crew costs) will be refunded if cancellation occurs more than 14 days before the charter start date.'
