February 2024Steps from private Beach and amazing Sunset views on the Gulf of Mexico!
We just returned from a fabulous week at Stella Maris on North Captiva Island and are still reveling in the incredible experience we all had...it was beyond all expectation! Our Host Joe could not have been more friendly, responsive and accommodating. The house is as beautiful as the photos, but the location and views are over the top amazing. The house has multiple levels with large decks and lounge areas for relaxing with family and friends, overlooking the Gulf with warm breezes and a cool cocktail...what could be better! The island has such lush greenery, uncrowded beaches and a very casual and friendly vibe. The ferry ride over is very easy and the staff literally load and unload all your stuff. Once on the island, zero cars...just golf carts, bicycles or flip flops to get around as needed. As a part of the rental, we had access to private clubs that offered nice swimming pools, tennis courts and marina. The house is well equipped with high end appliances and BBQ grill for great group dinners. There are ample beach chairs and toys provided for relaxing on the soft white sand in what felt like our own private beach. If you like long walks on the beach, this island adds the adventure of discovering many beautiful shells. Frankly, we never left the property other than one day when we rented a boat and cruised around Pine Island Bay visiting adjacent islands for sightseeing and lunch. No one in our group were into fishing but from conversations we had with other folks on the island who do, it is a fisherman's paradise from both land and sea. It was a totally chill experience, and we cannot thank Joe and Third Home enough for allowing us the opportunity to stay in this fantastic home!”
