Snorkel, scuba and explore so many beautiful sites while relaxing and enjoying being waited on by a very attentive captain, cook and first mate. Wonderful getaway!

We booked a cabin on the beautiful Tradewinds 70' catamaran in Guadeloupe for one week in April and had an outstanding time! We had the opportunity to meet a lovely group of fellow travellers, and we were hosted by an undeniably wonderful crew. Craig, Cressy and George were very attentive to everyone's needs and ensured a good time was had by all. They were very knowledgeable and helpful! There was never a lack of things to do ... paddle board, wake board, snorkeling, scuba diving ... or just lounging. We loved the trip and wouldn't hesitate to do it again!”

An exceptional experience

We've done both crewed and bareboat charters before and this was one of our best experiences. Crew, food, service, boat amenities and itinerary were all first class. The wildcard was who else is on the boat and we had a diverse, very fun group which among other things made the trip. You are presented the opportunity to join the tradewinds group as a member but this was a natural part of the experience and didn't feel like a pitch. Highly recommend this trip to others who enjoy a more adventurous trip than your typical resort experience. Guadeloupe and Les Saintes in particular is a gem of a destination - more boutiquey French feel with little mass tourism. Superb diving and snorkelling from the sailboat. ”

Unique experience.

My partner and I enjoyed our sailing experience with TradeWinds. The captain, his mate, and the chef, all made our week as pleasant as possible. Sailing around the many islands of Guadeloupe, offers breathtaking views, as well as opportunities for fabulous snorkeling and other water sports. This experience is not for everyone, without question! I recommend arriving in Guadeloupe a little earlier, or, staying a bit after your week of sailing, so, you can see what main island has to offer, making a more complete land and sea experience of the best of Guadeloupe. ”

Five star sailing, dining and island hopping

A most extraordinary holiday! My husband loves sailing and scuba and said that his first dive in Guadeloupe was among his favorites.. As one of the yacht's daily snorkelers, I was amazed at the variety of sea life and clarity of the water. We also were able to stand up paddle, kayak, wake board, fish, swim and just soak up the sun & tropical breezes on multiple decks. Craig, our exceptionally skilled and personable captain, took every opportunity to sail as we were fortunate to get cooperative winds. Anna, our chef for the week, is an absolute treasure - whipping up delicious and beautifully presented cuisine using fresh local ingredients. She also surprised us with her gorgeous singing voice and delightfully joyful spirit. George was an excellent third member of this skilled crew, always quick to attend guests as well as any nautical detail. Our yacht, Alethea, was a 70' flagship catamaran and her accommodations exceeded our expectations - my favorite spots were the large upper level deck and the dolphin seat. Our room, like the rest of the craft, was spotless and well designed - more storage than I expected and the bed wonderfully comfortable for drifting off after perfect sunsets and evening cocktails. We loved our Tradewinds excursion so much we have become members; now we simply have to decide where to go next! ”

My first sailing trip

My first sailing trip on a luxury catamaran. The food was great, the accommodations were great. What I did miss was an actual sailing trip. There were too much time spent under motor rather than with the winds. AND this comment was echoed by seasoned members of Trade-winds not just me. And the anchoring areas of Guadeloupe has limited variety of sights. We anchored in the same bay a number of times. The BEST for me was a snorkel and dive around the Jaques Couteau marine preserve. That and the food were the highlights. ”

Guadeloupe Sailing Vacation

This was an extraordinary sailing vacation and a great way to see the surrounding islands all on a very comfortable mini cruise ship. The crew was very user friendly and the service and food were impeccable. We made great new friends with other Tradewinds members and enjoyed the dynamics between all of the guests and crew. Holiday of a Lifetime!

We didn't know what to expect when we booked this trip and to be honest we were slightly nervous about the idea of holidaying with a group of complete strangers! It turned out to be one if the best holidays we've ever had and we enjoyed it so much we became members of Tradewinds and are already planning our next trip. New Beginnings is a comfortable and very spacious boat which is well deserving if it's Flagship class rating. We enjoyed some exciting sailing (more than we'd anticipated) with the itinerary planned each morning by our highly experienced Captain, Micke. We moored up each night in stunning, unspoilt bays which provided ample opportunity for scuba diving (supervised for those appropriately qualified by the boat's own Dive-master, Jordan, one if the most personable young men you could hope to encounter), snorkelling, kayaking or swimming. We enjoyed shore excursions to quaint villages and beaches on beautiful neighbouring islands. But the highlights were undoubtedly the wonderful people we met and the outstanding service provided by the crew. The food, prepared expertly and lovingly by Mairead, was amongst the finest we've experienced anywhere. We felt truly privileged to spend a week with such lovely people and we can't wait for our next trip. We really hope that 3rd Home's partnership with Tradewinds will be a long and happy one!”
