December 2023The Red House- perfect venue for family reunions!
Our holiday getaway could not have been any more relaxing and memorable at the beautiful, and well-appointed 3-storey lake house. Clean, comfortable and cozy, it offered an inviting atmosphere for my extended family of (9 adults + 5 children); and served as the perfect home away from home. As soon as we stepped into the property, details such as a bottle of red wine with a handwritten notecard, welcomed us from the get go. The open kitchen was a popular gathering place as was the outdoor fireplace and verandah. Throughout our stay the property managers were easily available for any clarification we had, quick to respond and address our needs. Instructions were crystal clear for any appliances and labeling everything, was a most meticulous touch, that we appreciated. We noticed the Red House was situated at the furthest tip of the Bear Lake Reserve Community. It was well worth the winding drive from the main gate and greeter’s cottage, because it is one of the few homes that are built closest to the lake and had the best views from any vantage point of the home. It also has its own dock and my daughters availed of the kayak on the last day. In January, it was exhilarating to say the least! We enjoyed daily hikes, the use of the Clubhouse, where we spent New Year’s Eve, even partook of the yearly tradition- “Polar Plunge,” and got to experience the Club’s warm hospitality first hand. We appreciated the small-town charm shown to us by the members and staff. Our holiday getaway was made very special at The Red House and we dream of returning to the same property in the future. Thank you to the property owner, for being instrumental in creating beautiful memories for our family, ones we will cherish forever. Jake and Gina P ”
