Brook House

4-12 Keys 6 Bedrooms 12 Guests 6 BathsView Amenities

Description

This is a charming house and barn that have been meticulously renovated. A winding gravel driveway leads through the beautifully landscaped gardens and over a babbling brook towards the main house.

Receiving up to 12 guests in comfort, this house has 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms and plenty of space for everyone! There are approximately 420 square meters, spread over two floors.

Inside, the rooms are generous in size and extremely comfortable. Luscious sofas are dotted around the main living areas, with art deco ornaments and antique furniture. The main house has an open plan kitchen/dining room with a seating area and bi-fold doors onto the outdoor decking area.

On the 1st floor, you will find a large Master bedroom with a super king-size bed and en suite bathroom and shower. Along the corridor, there is a double bedroom with en suite bathroom, a second double bedroom, and a single bedroom with truckle bed.

The separate accommodation in the barn is great for groups of friends wanting their own space or for large families with grown-up children. The Barn was as well beautifully renovated, including a Living/games room with a pool table and table tennis, a small kitchen, double bedroom, twin bedroom, and shower room.

Stays at this property will be fun and full of activities for all ages and tastes! Outside you will find a large decking area over the brook – perfect for yoga! A 1/2 acre of beautiful formal gardens with prairie-style planting, as well as a 5-acre paddock adjoining the house with a Football pitch, Trampoline, Cricket net, and Wildlife pond.

The nearest town of Bruton has fast become the coolest destination in the South West. Always a mecca for artists and creatives, gallerists Hauser and Wirth added the final polish when they opened a fabulous contemporary art gallery on the site of a disused 17th-century farm.
The region has lovely landscapes, charming villages, and farms that have been portrayed in history, literature, and movies!

The Newt in Somerset is a newly opened estate with magnificent walled gardens, a glasshouse, a farm shop, restaurants, and a cafe. A wonderful day out not to be missed. Babington House is a short drive away.

For children, there is the Mill on the Brue outdoor activity center, archery, rafting, canoeing, and abseiling are just a few of the activities on offer.
The Stourhead estate- the filming location for ‘Pride and Prejudice is a short drive away – the famous lake and grounds are not to be missed in autumn when the landscape is ablaze with color.
