Melozhori Game Reserve | The Cottage

Ideal for a weekend away with family or friends, the cottage offers two en-suite bedrooms to lodge four adults and two small children. The cottage is pet-friendly and features a small splash pool, wood–fire hot tub, fire pit, hammock, and a barbecue area. The exterior living space will be appreciated for all the nights you wish to spend outside under the blanket of stars.

The self-catering cottage has a well-equipped kitchen with a fridge, microwave, electric oven, kettle, and a Nespresso machine to rise with excitement for your perfect cup of coffee. Head into the living room, where you can relax on the comfy L-shaped couch, turn on the fireplace, and watch television on the flat screen.

Both bedrooms open onto private viewing decks equipped with electric blankets for cold winter nights. Walk-in closets allow you to set up your closes for a comfortable stay.

Melozhori Private Game Reserve lies in the picturesque Cape Fold Mountains, adjacent to the small and charming village of Stormsvlei, in the verdant Overberg district of the Western Cape. It is located less than 200km from Cape Town and conveniently halfway to the world-famous Garden Route. Surrounded by undulating hills and mountains, with no other signs of civilization, it feels as though you’re in the most profound “bush” of Africa. The hilly and mountainous topography offers guests excellent vantage points of the 2,300-hectare (nearly 5700 acres) reserve.

Melozhori Game Reserve boasts two additional housing accommodations available in separate listings; The Pods and The Lodge. Uniquely different but just as detailed and high-end, The Pods and The Lodge can be booked with The Cottage for larger friend groups or extended family vacations.
