Mid-Mod at Sun Peaks Ski Resort

Welcome to our lovely Mid-Century Modern styled chalet at the brand-new Burfield West condo development.

Sun Peaks boasts year-round activities for sun and ski enthusiasts alike. Experience alpine skiing, hiking, biking, golfing, family activities, events, and more. Wander through the European-style pedestrian village filled with restaurants, cafés, and shops.

We departed from the traditional "cabin" feel of a mountain home. We went with an eclectic mix of Mid-Century modern, cozy zen, and comfy family space to create a clean and light yet cozy and welcoming condo that will provide all the comforts of home but with the style and upscale feel of a well-appointed resort.

Upon entering, you will come into our entryway with an adjoining supply/mudroom for storing coats, supplies, and "getting out of your gear" when you return from a day on the slopes.
The stacking washer and dryer is conveniently located in the closet in this hallway.

Once you turn the corner, you will enter the dining, kitchen, and family room space. We have spared no detail to make your stay complete. There is a bar set up for aprés cocktail duties, and a well-stocked chef's kitchen to prepare any meal you can dream up. We are avid cooks, so we want to ensure that there are all the tools you'll need to make whatever recipe you find in our cookbooks. We offer both a coffee machine and a French Press to suit your morning preference. You'll need a crockpot, popcorn maker, Sodastream, and all the tools, basic spices, etc. you'll need in the kitchen.

The cozy living room with a gas fireplace and AppleTV will provide a snuggly place to cuddle in with hot chocolate and popcorn for movie night. The dining area comfortably seats eight, with a banquette bench and five chairs.

The three bedrooms, master King, guest Queen, and third double/single bunk, are all complete with down comforters, crisp white linens and comfy plush mattresses to provide all a very restful nights' sleep.

The master bath boasts a large walk-in glass shower that provides a lovely spa feel, and the closet has ample space for all your clothes. The guest room has a lovely queen bed and a beautiful view out to the trees and creek. The third bedroom is perfect for the kids, with a double-bottom bunk and a single top. The main bathroom off the hallway has a bathtub and shower configuration, great if you have little ones who want a bath.

The patio has a Weber barbecue for grilling nights and of course, a fully serviced hot tub to get those muscles worked out after a day of hard skiing or boarding.

Our storage locker on the first floor is spacious, allowing you to put your skis and boards, or bikes in the summer months, away and locked up dry and safe each night. You will have two underground parking spaces at your disposal, so nice to unload/load the car dry and safely.

Our location is exceptional and, we think, the best, for several reasons:

1) We are one of the closest homes on the mountain to getting on a chairlift.
2) We are true ski-in/ski-out. When you ski out you simply walk across the street to the Burfield chairlift, the original lift on Sun Peaks mountain. This chair takes you right to the top of the mountain. For ski-out, you have the option of coming down this way, or skiing out and around Mt. Morrissey which brings you literally right to the little bridge beside our unit. It doesn't get any easier for ski-in and ski-out!
3) If you want to come in for a break, you just pop off your skis, key in the code at the garage and walk through the garage to our unit.
4) We are on the same floor as the garage: NO STAIRS OR ELEVATOR... YAY!
5) You can walk up to the Ohana grocery (hello perfect charcuterie fixings!!), Cattle Guard Diner (Great food and cocktails) and yoga studio in about 3 minutes... all amazing!
6) A lovely 30-minute walk on the village trail to the village or a quick minute drive takes you to all the restaurants, bars, shops and services you could need.
7) Our condo backs right onto the Creek. You get the most lovely background nature music all day long, it's amazing!
8) In the summer, it's a quick 10-minute drive to Heffley Lake for swimming, watersports and fishing.
9) We have a very long and lovely trail just to the right over the bridge that goes for ages....perfect for a nice long stroll.

About Sun Peaks Ski Resort

Centrally located in the Interior region of British Columbia, Sun Peaks Resort is Canada's second-largest ski area. The terrain is diverse and spread across three mountains - Mt. Tod, Sundance and Mt. Morrisey - totalling 4,270 acres. The resort has developed into a year-round community, at the center of which is a European-style, ski-through village including hotels, condos, restaurants, and shops. 135 alpine trails flow into the village from 360 degree of terrain and over 34km of Nordic skiing trails.
