Linville Falls Getaway
Outdoor enthusiasts will love this gorgeous mountain getaway, perfectly situated between countless activities! This mountain house is six miles from the base of Linville Falls, one of the most sought after fly fishing destinations in the country. It is also on a disc golf course and conveniently located to the Blue Ridge Parkway. It is 23.6 miles to Sugar Mountain, 32.4 miles to Beech Mountain and Blowing Rock, and 35 miles to Boone. If you want to explore Western North Carolina from Asheville to Boone, this is the right place for you.
After a long day outdoors, curl up in the cozy living room with a glass of wine and enjoy a movie on the TV. Start your morning sipping coffee on the back deck while admiring the beautiful lush surroundings.
The fully equipped kitchen featuring stainless steel appliances and a spacious island make it easy to eat in.
There are two well-appointed bedrooms to choose from. The primary bedroom includes a king-sized bed and the guest room has two twin beds. Each bedroom has an adjoining bathroom. A loft upstairs has many beds: a queen size bed, a full size bed, and a twin bed. There is also a very small bedroom housing a twin bed and bathroom in the loft upstairs.
Other things to note are as follows:
This house is situated in the middle of excellent hiking including all three of the Linville Falls hikes (Erwins View Trail, Linville Gorge and Plunge Basin).
There are many good hikes between Linville Falls and Blowing Rock on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Check any of them out, the trailheads are thorough. Our favorite is Stack Rock Overlook. The drive over the Linn Cove viaduct on the Blue Ridge Parkway is dramatic.
Grandfather Mountain has lots of hikes, the bridge can get congested. Crabtree Falls is a nice hike near Little Switzerland in Spruce Pine. Old Fort, featuring two Asheville breweries, is a thirty minute drive from the house on your way to Asheville.
