The Front Door | Luxury Chalet in the heart of Portes Du Soleil

The charming and cozy "Front Door" occupies the bottom two floors of The Stone House, with a private entrance and balcony overlooking the verdant valley. You will surely fall in love with the space upon entry, featuring three en-suite bedrooms with copper baths and a large granite fireplace.

The Front Door is part of The Stone House, a timeless and peaceful estate located in Portes Du Soleil and can sleep 20 people across three thoughtfully restored properties. Consisting of The Barn, The Front Door, and The Loft, each residence complements one another with unique features and tasteful decor.

Built nearly 100 years ago by a local craftsman in the shadow of the 18th Century Abbaye D'aulps, the same family had passed down the home for 98 years until 2020, when the Los Angeles-based couple took guardianship.

Located just 10-15 minutes from multiple ski lifts (roc d'enfer, ardent or Morzine), and just a short walk to restaurants, bus stops, and ski hire, you and your loved ones are sure to feel at home here in the French Alps.

Saint-Jean-d'Aulps is a charming mountain village minutes from larger resorts like Morzine-Avoriaz. Active all year with a college, gym, pubs, supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants, and more, you will want for nothing during your stay.

The village boasts a dedicated ski area called "Roc d'Enfer" that falls between 970 and 1800 m altitude and is accessible to all ski levels with a shelf for beginners. Its major asset is a wild descent with more than 5 km through forests.

Saint-Jean-d'Aulps has a Cistercian abbey, a catholic religious order of monks and nuns, where you can discover this historic site and its interesting secrets.

Please note:
Guests will have shared access to the outdoor deck area featuring wood burning hot tub, bbq, and dining table (during summer). A shared ski & boot room sits on the property. There is space for one car parking, but additional parking can be arranged.
