An hour from Norwich, Wells-next-the-Sea is nestled between Holkham Beach and the unique bird sanctuary of Blakeney Point. Wells has a quay with beautiful views, a charming town with leafy Georgian Square and on Staithe Street, you'll find a mix of traditional and contemporary shops and eateries.

This beautifully appointed flat has been carefully furnished and equipped to a high standard. It is in a fantastic location in the heart of Wells, with a private, fully enclosed rear garden. It's only a short walk from many local amenities, the picturesque quay, and a few steps from The Crown and The Globe, two of Wells' best places to eat.

Guests will enter their ground-floor retreat through a spacious common entrance hall with a tiled floor with a private door leading into the flat. The accommodation is all on ground level with exposed wooden floorboards in the living areas and no internal steps so that it would be suitable for less mobile guests. The kitchen is well-equipped and contemporary with an integral oven and Miele hob, integral Miele dishwasher, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine and free-standing fridge/freezer.

The living area is a light, airy room with an attractive open fireplace, original cornicing and a large bay window overlooking 'The Buttlands' the leafy green. Beautifully presented with two comfortable sofas, coffee table, floor lamps and NOW TV and DVD player. Sit back relax and read a book or peruse the extensive vinyl record collection. Carefully positioned with the best view is a dining table with six chairs.

A week in sunny Norfolk!

We spent a nice week in Monteagle which is in a great location and everything is in easy walking distance – pubs, restaurants, shops, the Quay and beach. There’s also a Co-op supermarket close by to stock up on groceries. . Added bonus to have access to a small garden area at the back to catch the sun when it finally decided to appear! The apartment is well equipped with books and games for the kids on rainy days and clear instructions left for all the appliances. Living area is nice and airy and there’s a very cosy “snug” room alongside. The bathrooms are not very big which could be an issue for a larger group visiting but as there was only two of us it was fine. There are a few small maintenance issues - including the lack of blackout blinds in the master bedroom which was a bit of a nuisance when the sun came up at 4.00 am – but the owner is aware and taking steps to remedy. Nice fresh bedding and towels and great communication from the host as well as follow up to make sure everything was ok which was much appreciated. ”
