September 2025Amazing vacation experience at The Old Rectory
This mansion is exquisite and its location is perfect. Surrounded by breathtakingly beautiful nature, yet close to lovely little villages and larger cities, and to shopping and restaurants and charming tea houses and pubs. The home is beautifully designed with lots of tasteful touches. It is charming and elegant. The gourmet kitchen is a dream. It has everything ( and more) of what anyone could ever need and it has top notch appliances. The bedrooms are very spacious, have amazing views over the lush park like backyard and the river, and they have luxurious en-suite bathrooms. The owners and the housekeeper were extremely kind and super responsive. We spend the most amazing vacation week here and were very sad when it was time to leave. ”

July 2025Stately old manor house
The home was lovely. The new kitchen was stunning. The hosts were very accommodating. The location does involve a lot of road travel though and there are outdoor areas that were inaccessible and doors to the outside (emergency exits) that were locked with no key available. ”

July 2025A wonderful retreat for a Country House Weekend.
Chris could not be more efficient and helpful in looking after us and all the people who were taking care of the daily routine were charming and obviously held Chris and his partner in very high regard. The Old Rectory itself was magnificent and bursting with character. We all kept on getting lost for the first few days and then came across another room that was unique, full of fascinating objects and, above all, a haven of tranquility. The photos do not do it justice. We used the extraordinary Egg BBQ twice and, indeed, ate outside at the nearby table for 12 each time. Transport-wise the road networks from London and the South of England are remarkably good and the charming town of Chepstow, with a good Marks & Spencer’s food hall, is only a 10 minute drive. A magical place and we would love to return.”
