October 2024Truly Spectacular!
It’s hard to describe how perfect our stay in Devonport was. Our host Trevor went above and beyond to share information about the penthouse and the charming town of Devonport, and to make sure we were completely at home. The penthouse has been recently renovated, and no expense was spared. There are beautiful architectural elements throughout, and stunning interior design. Amazing use of light and space, and a gigantic outdoor space with stunning views over Devonport and the Auckland bay and skyline. There are two private entrances, one to a free, reserved parking space, and one onto the charming main street. We explored coffee shops and cafes, bakeries and chocolate shops, lively pubs, elegant restaurants, and numerous shops just steps outside the penthouse. There are parks, museums, beaches, and scenic hikes nearby too. A short walk takes you to the ferry terminal where you can easily get to Auckland, or other nearby islands. We enjoyed several day trips around the north island, visiting wineries, beaches, extinct volcanoes, historic villages, and downtown Auckland. We’ve travelled extensively with ThirdHome through the years and Devonport is top of our list of places to revisit. Highly recommend! ”
