Wonderful beach cottage!

We have just returned from a magical week in this lovely, light-filled home. We were not familiar with the Ventura area and were delighted by the beautiful beaches, the stunning sunsets and the wonderful day trips all nearby. The home is on a cul-de-sac that ends right at the beach, and many neighbors (and the two of us!) enjoyed taking a glass of wine and watching the sunset each night. We enjoyed a great farmer's market on Main Street, visits to the Reagan Museum in Simi Valley, and the charming towns of Ojai, Santa Ynez and Los Olivos. Santa Barbara is an easy day trip. But there is a lot right there as well, and we enjoyed walking on the sandy beaches and having lunch at the Pier, and visiting the harbor and buying fish caught just that day. John is an attentive and generous host, and he welcomed us with a lovely bottle of local wine. He checked in over the course of the week and dropped everything to replace the propane tank on the BBQ. The cottage has fresh light paint on the walls and lots of windows so it is bright and cheerful. The back patio has a fire pit and some comfortable chairs, and the front patio has a BBQ and a table for outdoor dining. We would love to go back!”

Ventura Beach Cottage

Located in a quaint street ending on the beach. The cottage worked well for our stay with nice golf courses nearby. We especially enjoyed the weather. Main Street is now a pedestrian area with outdoor dining throughout the street. John the owner was readily available and very nice to work with.”

Relaxing stay at the beach

We loved our stay at this charming, original beach cottage. The decor was bright and airy which transported us to the casual beach life. Located on a lane that ended at the fine sand beach made it easy to wander to the beach as often as we liked. We took morning beach walks on the never-ending beach. The neighbors made us feel welcome when we joined them at sunset with a glass of wine in hand to watch the spectacular sunsets. John was a gracious host. He was available to answer questions and had some wine and snacks waiting for us as we arrived. The house had everything we needed. We enjoyed BBQ'ing outside. There are two nice outside areas to relax in. We slept well in the extremely comfortable beds. We certainly would like to return.”
