From the moment we arrived, our expectations were not only met but truly exceeded. Even before our journey began, our warm and wonderful hosts stayed in close contact, offering thoughtful suggestions for restaurants, day trips, and sightseeing highlights to help us plan an extraordinary visit. When we finally arrived, we were greeted by an immaculate, beautiful and inviting home where every detail had been so carefully considered. It was clear that our hosts had gone to great efforts to ensure we would feel comfortable, welcome, and completely at home. Waiting for us in the kitchen were delightful goodies — tea, coffee, and delicious snacks — a small but deeply thoughtful gesture that meant the world to us after a long journey. It came as no surprise, given the warmth and kindness our hosts had extended to us well before we even arrived. Not only did we have the privilege and pleasure of staying in a gorgeous villa in one of Edinburgh’s most beautiful neighborhoods, but we also feel as though we’ve made wonderful new friends.
