Description

Parc Bach Contemporary Welsh Cottage

Parc Bach Contemporary Welsh Cottage offers a serene and stylish retreat nestled in an acre of farmland on the western slopes of the Preseli Mountains above the charming market town of Newport. Designed to blend harmoniously with its natural surroundings, this contemporary Welsh cottage boasts stunning views across the sea. On clear evenings, guests can enjoy the spectacle of the sun setting behind the coast of Ireland, visible from the front gable window.

The architecture of Parc Bach has been thoughtfully crafted to integrate seamlessly into its environment. The larch cladding, which naturally silvers over time due to the elements, and the green roof, seeded with grasses and wildflowers, ensure that the house weathers gracefully and continues to complement the landscape. This living roof enhances the property's aesthetic and creates a new habitat for birds and insects, supporting local biodiversity.

Inside, the spacious open-plan living area features a striking triangular window that provides panoramic views of the surrounding hills and coastline, allowing guests to watch the weather change and observe local wildlife on rainy days. The property is surrounded by fields, with the rear field undergoing a process of "rewilding" to develop into a wildflower meadow, fostering even more opportunities for wildlife to thrive. New trees have been planted in the field, with hopes of creating a flourishing ecosystem for years to come.

Parc Bach comfortably accommodates up to 8 guests in four beautifully designed bedrooms: three double rooms and one twin room. The house includes three modern washrooms, including a family bath with an integral shower, a level access wet room with a shower, and an en-suite wet room attached to the main bedroom. The fully equipped kitchen features all the necessary appliances, including an oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, and freezer, ensuring a comfortable self-catering experience.

Additional amenities include Wi-Fi, a TV with an internet connection, a cosy log burner for colder evenings, and a baby cot. Fresh linens, towels, and cleaning services are included, ensuring a relaxing and effortless stay. Parc Bach perfectly blends contemporary comfort and natural beauty, offering a peaceful sanctuary where you can immerse yourself in the Welsh countryside.
