August 2025A 2 bedrooms villa, not 4.
We stayed in this villa August 3 to 11 2025 and I sent my comments directly to Thirdhome before leaving this property 5 days prior the check-out date (we stayed only 8 days out of 13). I didn't want to publish a review hurting the owners, but now that the hosts made illfounded bad comments on me and my family, I must write what we saw and experienced to rectify the facts. First of all, the listing described this property as a 4 bedrooms villa. In fact, there is a large bedroom with no wardrobe and almost all the desks' drawers were filled with owners' personal items, a smaller bedroom with a narrow storage cabinet we used as the only wardrobe in the house to hang some clothes and the last very small "bedroom" with a single bed in the corner, which is more the reading room of the second bedroom than a real bedroom because his only access is to get through the second bedroom (not practical nor fonctional to use the bathroom or simply to leave the room without waking up the person sleeping). In this last small single "bedroom", there was no storage for the clothes. The wardrode was filled with clothes and all the drawers were full. The 4th bedroom, which I think is the master, was locked. I don't know how the hosts could have address or correct this. By adding a bedroom, build wardrobes, empty the drawers, unlock the master bedroom? We simply expected to find a home complying with the listing and description. For the drawers and the wardrobe filled with stuff and clothes, I never thought I had to ask such a basic thing. They should have done it before check-in. When the hosts falsely stated that we left excessive laundry, I don't know what they are talking about. We left only the used towels and dishcloths where they told us to leave them. And there was the beds linens. Nothing else. We might have forgot the outside lights open 2 or 3 days. When the hosts wrote in their review that they were expecting 4 star standard guests, it's quite insulting and I must say that they should look at themselves. The cleaning was approximate, there was a musty smell in the dishes and utensils storage, we had to clean many utensils, pans and other kitchen accessories that were dirty. The towels, linens and the 4 thin pillows were old and not in a 4 star standard conditions and quality. There were very few towels for a 2 week stay. Bicycles were in the listing, but tires were flat. This villa just didn't worth 9 keys per week. We rented many homes in the past and it's the first time I make a complaint or a negative review. We loved Tuscany and we found our pleasure outside the home. ”
