Awesome Family Trip!

This trip was for a family vacation and this home was perfect for that. Everyone had their own master suite of which many of the rooms had beautiful views. We had all couples and no children who stayed but this home has many bunk beds in the bedrooms so that each suite could hold an entire family. We were greeted by the housekeeper who showed us around the home and how everything worked which was really helpful. I told her that I would be making some cookies and pies and she went and bought us some cookie sheets and pie plates since there were none at the home. I really appreciated that. Everyone enjoyed the spa room with steam room and sauna as well as the jacuzzi on the deck. We would definitely like to return. ”

The name says it all!

Castle Above the Clouds...says it all. This home is perched high atop a mountain with magnificent views of snow capped mountains and ski runs. We had 13 people and had plenty of room for everyone. We had a chef come in and do two meals for us and the kitchen was well stocked for this and for entertaining. All of the bedrooms were a good size and no one felt slighted. It is a little bit of a drive to Squaw and Alpine meadows from the house. The house is close to Tahoe Donner ski mountain but it is very small and really for beginners. We had a great lunch at Morgans Seafood in Truckee and a nice afternoon at Truckee River Winery in Truckee as well. For dinner, highly recommend Christy Hill in Tahoe City. For ski rentals, hands down, use our partner Ski Butlers. They are awesome. Our entire group used them and everyone loved the service. ”

We were very pleased with the amount of bed and room! We got the first snow fall of the season so it was great! The owner had quick communication and it's high enough for snow but close to stores! Loved it! ”
