Sunrise at the Beach was delightful

We had an amazing week on Nantucket. The home was great. Just what you'd expect for a beach house on Nantucket. Bedrooms were small but beds were super comfy. Kitchen had everything we needed including some spices and items for cooking. We made an adventure out of getting to the island. From a plane to the bus to the ferry. Once on the island we each got a bus pass that we used the entire week. The 'Wave' ran every hour and we were able to time our journeys into Nantucket accordingly. Sconset is so quiet and peaceful. The small market and sandwich shop had what we needed but definitely pricey. We'd get the main groceries we needed while in Nantucket. Lots of hiking, dining at amazing restaurants and fires and sunrise on the beach(which is a small walk from your door) We would definitely make this trip again to Sunrise at the beach. ”

Fun at the Beach

This charming cottage, a 4 minute walk to the beautiful Sconset beach, was fun. Pro: right at the beach , large well equipped kitchen with family dining table, comfortable living area, very small BRs with shared bath. Great patio for afternoon sun with chaise lounges. Con: Sconset a very tiny area with a grocery store, sandwich shop and apparently a nice restaurant which hadn't yet opened for the season. The bus a long trip into Nantucket town and when we were there only ran every hour. The best thing is to have a car or get a weekly bus pass. Nantucket town and Sconset village Apples and Oranges, both have different delights”

Sunrise at the Beach

Great property at a great number of keys price. Actually this property should cost more keys as it is a beautifully appointed more than 125 year old restored property. Owners Terri and Mark live right next door and were very responsive to questions or any needs. My wife's high school friend and her husband from San Francisco stayed with us. We all agreed that Sconset was the area of Nantucket to stay and Sunrise on the Beach was the place in Sconset to stay. Sconset is only about 20 minutes from Nantucket town center, but far enough away to be out of the hustle and bustle. September was a perfect time to be there, even though the local food market closed right after Labor Day. Grocery shopping was only 15 minutes away. Chanticleer Restaurant within walking distance of Sunrise at the Beach is a very nice restaurant with excellent food. Also within walking distance is an Inn with a restaurant right on the beach which we did not visit but understand has excellent food and a great view of the beach. We will go back to Sunrise on the Beach again and recommend it to any Third Home menbers. ”
