Love the Solaz

Had a great trip and loved staying at the Solaz! We have stayed there a few times and absolutely love it. We have been to Cabo over 100 times and this is one of our favorite places to stay. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Great walks along the beach, lots of places to hang out by the pool. Excellent gym. And a pretty perfect place to be as Cabo San Lucas and San Jose Del Cabo are both 15-20 minute drives. Thank you to the Solaz team for making our vacation extra special! ”

A Luxurious and Relaxing Escape at The Club at Solaz

Our stay at The Club at Solaz in Los Cabos, Mexico, was nothing short of incredible. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the resort’s stunning beauty and warm hospitality. We stayed in a spacious one-bedroom suite, which was perfect for my wife and me. The full kitchen was a fantastic perk, allowing us to prepare some meals at home while still enjoying the incredible on-site dining options. The resort's restaurants were excellent, offering delicious cuisine and top-notch service. The staff was friendly, professional, and always willing to help. Booking transportation and activities through the front desk was effortless, making our experience even more enjoyable. We opted not to rent a car, as we were advised that Uber was convenient in the area—and it truly was. Throughout our stay, we felt completely safe and comfortable. One of the highlights of our trip was the resort’s stunning pools. We used them every day, and they were the perfect place to relax and take in the breathtaking surroundings. The pools were beautifully designed, well-maintained, and added to the luxurious feel of the resort. We also made great use of the gym, which was clean, well-equipped, and impressive. The entire property exudes luxury, from the beautifully designed spaces to the impeccable service. If you're looking for a breathtaking getaway in Cabo, The Club at Solaz is a fantastic choice. Architecture and Landscape Design are world class

We loved everything about our stay. The restaurants were amazing, the pools and hot tubs along the beach were gorgeous and the staff was so lovely. The kids club made it easy for us to get some grown up time and the units were so comfortable and beautifully designed. ”

Wonderful Stay (Except room location)

This was our second time staying at Solaz. As in the past, the service was incredible and the resort was beautiful. Late February was perfect weather - warm sunny days and cool evenings. The service during the day at the pool was outstanding. The location of the resort is perfect for exploring all that the Cabo area has to offer. We rented a car for the first time (this was our 4th visit to Cabo ) and wouldn’t hesitate to do it again. Parking at Solaz was easy and they coordinated our car rental prior to arrival. Flora Farms, Sunset Mona Lisa and Acre are definitely favorites and must visits. Our one disappointment this visit was with the location of the 1 bedroom Villa (Room 3103). While the Villa itself was beautiful, clean and well maintained - the location of this villa was NOT prime. These one (and two) bedrooms are literally off the Lobby area, as far away from all the pools and restaurants as you can be. The road noise is loud, even on your patio which is facing the main area of the resort and beautifully furnished for enjoyment. We have stayed in a 3 bedroom on a prior visit that was located close to everything and felt a “part” of the resort. This 1 bedroom definitely didn’t have that same vibe. Would we stay at Solaz again? Absolutely. We would just request a different location for the room if possible. Just be aware that as a ThirdHome member, this may be where you end up for a one or two bedroom Villa.”

We love Cabo and We love Solaz!

This seems to be our home away from home as it is our third stay at this amazing property. This time we did a whale watching excursion which was on our bucket list. We love how easy it is to take an Uber from the front gate of the hotel. You are a short ride away from the downtown areas of Cabo and San Jose del Cabo. Between wonderful nearby restaurants or those on the property, we have had culinary delights every single night. Thank you for being part of Third Home! ”

What a nice surprise this resort is! It is an unassuming property right off the main highway in Cabo San Lucas. Once inside, Solaz is a quiet luxurious oasis with most of the rooms having ocean views. I think two or three bedroom accommodations might have garden level views. Beautiful infinity pools span the length of the property with a couple of swim up bars. There are five restaurants all with wonderful food. We can't wait to return!”

Most beautiful place to stay in Los Cabos

The Club at Solaz is absolutely beautiful, and the 1 bedroom Villa was a dream, very spacious, fully stocked, with incredible ocean views. The location was perfect, very private, flat white sand beaches which is a plus in Cabo. The staff was welcoming, professional, incredibly polite, and helpful with all the arrangements. You truly do not need to leave this place. The y have several 5 stars restaurants in the property, spa, gym, boutique, all the activities you desire right there. You don't need to rent a car, you can arrange for Ubers right at the Hotel if you need to go anywhere, very inexpensive compared to the US. A big thanks to the hosts at The Club at Solaz, we will most likely be back. AH”

Beautiful Property- View Could Be Much Better

Third Home Exchange property is beautiful inside and the amenities are first class however as a Third Home Owner we were given the Room closest to the Valet. with no view. With the resort at 40-50% capacity it would have been nice to have been given a better location. Staff were incredible, location is excellent and view from the pool is World Class. Just would have been nice to not have the traffic noise and valet traffic for our stay. For all Third Home members, ask for ocean view if available. ”

Great resort!

We loved our stay at The Club at Solaz. Very high end and hope to stay again as soon as we can. Uber around Cabo and San Jose is easy and affordable. You can either cook in your Villa or enjoy their excellent restaurants. The views are incredible. We did opt to listen to their time share presentation but it wasn't a high pressure sales experience, just not something we were interested in. ”

Solaz stay

I stayed in a one bedroom for a week. I was put in building 1 which was very noisy on the balcony from the hwy right behind. The unit was clean and well equipped and cleaning was everyday and they provided water and coffee. Over all a good stay. ”

Beautiful Solaz

This is a gorgeous resort with a beautiful beach on the Sea of Cortez. The beach is gorgeous to walk but swimming may be a bit challenging. We loved the pools that stretched the length of the resort, beach side with two fantastic swim up bars. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. You do get a bit of road noise at the towers at the back of your unit but you live mainly on the resort/view side. The restaurant and deli are very good but pricey. It turns out most of Cabo is now very expensive and the “Corridor” and San Jose del Cabo are preferable to San Lucas- built up with resorts, shops, restaurants, high end homes and golf. We felt very safe! The use of Uber was great- cars were quickly available and every one was super clean!”

Architectural and landscape gem

Truly beautiful property. We loved our stay. Well appointed kitchen in which we cooked most meals. Plenary of nearby grocery stores. We were in the far back of resort but easy and quick walk to beach and amenities. Breakfast buffet and restaurants looked amazing but we cooked on our own and ate at local places off site while site seeing. Lands end is quick drive and so many water sports to do. We love Cabo and hope to return to this property. Friendly staff. You will be asked for timeshare talk but they accepted our decline. Great place to work in business office in main area with teen room and kids play center that my kids enjoyed. Excellent gym on site for work outs and healthy choices and delicious drinks for your time in one of the many beautiful pools. Whales were breeching and coming to the surface on the regular so that was fun to watch while down at the pools or beach as well. ”

Almost a 5-Star

Solaz is wonderful resort. Beautiful grounds, great pools and very nice rooms. The 4-star is because two things. Apparently, the resort no longer allows ThirdHome members to stay in the lower levels, called the Galleria. Instead, we are provided condos in the high rise building. Nice view, but noise is pretty loud, except thankfully, in the bedroom when the door is closed. There also really aren’t casual restaurants after 5:00 PM. What’s open is expensive and ordinary. The good news is there are so many great dinner places in and around San Lucas and San Jose. But would be nice to have better onsite restaurants. Most of the people who work at the resort are great. Polite and helpful. Great workout facility. ”

Beautiful resort

The property is beautiful, the service was great, the food during the day is great, the tennis and gym facilities are excellent and the rooms are spacious and have everything you need. This property is a solid 4 plus star property and we would come back. Two downsides - the rooms are very close to a main highway, so you can hear the highway noise. There aren’t any casual restaurants / menus for dinner time, which made dinner with the kids tricky. Additionally, my husband and I like casual Mexican food for dinner on vacation in Mexico, so not having that was puzzling.”

Spectacular Stay

The grounds are absolutely stunning! The resort was not crowded and we always were able to get chairs in front of the pool. The staff is very warm and welcoming and service was outstanding. We especially loved that you can swim in the ocean directly in front of the pools as the current isn't strong due to reefs on either side of the swimming area. Most resorts in Cabo don't allow swimming due to strong currents, but this one is perfect for that. We watched the whales go by directly in front daily as well. The only hiccup we experienced was them wanting to sign us up for a tour of the property as we were checking in. We understand their desire to gain new owners, however after a long day of traveling their timing could have been better. Look forward to returning!”

Amazing

Incredible experience, we loved the hotel, it is very nice and functional, the staff is very friendly, especially Noe and Cesar treated us very well in the pool, always willing to help, the water in the jacuzzis needs to be warmer . We had a week with a lot of people and a couple of days they didn't clean until late, it seems that they needed staff but everything else was excellent and we are very happy with the experience.”

Beautiful property

The architecture, landscaping and accommodations are beautiful. The staff is warm and friendly and you can tell that they enjoy working with one another and for the guests as well. We happened to be there as "Norma" was approaching and were told that we needed to vacate the property as it was being closed the following day, as a cautionary measure, and moving any remaining guests to their sister property close by. Luckily we were able to get an earlier flight home to avoid any potential problems. ”

Property is lovely, but service not as good as before closing

We enjoyed our room however the thirdhome listing said a jacuzzi would be located on the balcony and we were not provided a jacuzzi. The actual property is lovely but customer service has not been as great as it was before they closed. They are probably working out issues with the re-opening. ”

Amazing resort.

Solaz is a 5 star resort; however, I only gave it 4 stars due to the fact that there are no casual restaurants open after 7:00 pm so your dining options are limited since two of the most popular ones are usually booked up. Units are luxurious! Views are amazing if you are standing up, would be better if the landscaping had lower growing plants. All of the staff were outstanding from the valet to the check-in to the wait staff. Jaime and Jose, at the Italian restaurant were the best ever!! We have already booked a return trip. ”

Loud pool noise from room

Loved the room and the amenities. Only issue was they gave us a noisy room near pool. When we asked for new room the front desk claimed none available but other staff told us hotel only half full. ”

Solaz is a new, safe and beautiful resort! I felt very safe, very taken care of and it was wonderfully relaxing! The staff was accommodating and very attentive. Hacienda del Mar

Solaz cancelled our reservation 5 days prior to arrival because of occupancy restrictions. They made accommodations at their sister resort, Hacienda del Mar. Hacienda del MAR was wonderful. Lovely suite, incredible view, excellent food, gracious staff. Highly recommended!”

Beautiful Resort - Special place! Amazing Stay!

What could you ever say wrong about Solaz! My wife and I spent 3 weeks at Solaz and everyday was amazing. The Staff is second to none, the food especially the Italian is amazing. Worked remotely till noon each day then down to the pool & beach! The 1 bedroom is perfect and the Market is just a short Uber ride away. ($5.00 usd) After a week at Diamante and then 3 weeks at Solaz we are try to figure out how to stay longer. Some reviews criticized the Timeshare presentation, Since we were here 3 weeks we did it the second day. Great breakfast and they could not beat the Thirdhome deal! This is truly a special place!”

Overbooked

We were called the Wednesday before our Saturday departure and told that Solaz was overbooked according to government regulations. We were given a villa in Hacienda Del Mar that included many perks such as full breakfast daily and 40% off food and beverages, etc. We took the offer and were extremely pleased with our stay in Hacienda Del Mar. We hope to try Solaz in the future.”

Stay away. not safe!

Out of our closed room our two mobile phones, IDs and credit cards have been stolen. Management was not very helpful in solving the issue. At check in you sign that for stolen things out of the room the guest is fully responsible. It seem that this was not a single case. Stay away!”

this exceeded our expectations on every way. The outdoor areas were marvelous. They were especially accommodating with our service dog who was a big hit. We dined in and enjoyed the kitchen and dined out and were pleasantly happy with the quality. Loved La Deriva their Northern Italian restaurant. Their Sushi restaurant was another stand out. We have already booked two additional weeks next month.”

We are enjoying three weeks at Solaz through THIRDHOME. It had been a wonderful experience exceeding our previous stay’s expectations! The resort has an updated pool menu and all of the restaurants have been outstanding. Meals we took at the hotel qualified for Marriott Bonvoy points on our Bonvoy App. We look forward to returning this coming October and November with our member weeks at Solaz.. Great facility, excellent staff, food, service, perfect location with a swimming beach. We highly recommend!!”

Exquisite property

We had an absolutely marvelous stay at the Solaz resort. This 34 acre complex is masterfully designed. The suites were elegantly apppointed. The views from every suite are simply amazing. The grounds maintenance was meticulous, and the service overall was excellent. There are 7 restaurants on the property, and we were particularly impressed with the Italian and Japanese restaurants. They were both world-class. We'd HIGHLY recommend this resort.”

Beautiful Property and Attentive Pool Staff

Beautiful architecture, well-appointed 2-bedroom with everything you need for a great stay. Gym is wonderful, spa good and a little expensive, food very good at the pool and great location. Staff at the pool are wonderful and attentive. They definitely push the timeshare presentation, which I didn't expect at all. Wondering if Thirdhome customers can be given a pass here. Concierge didn't seem very attentive or well informed. Happily made reservations on our own through Opentable after not receiving attentive service and missing a requested opportunity for whale watching. Expected the $15 / day resort fee; however, when we checked in we were told it was $16 and when pressed they explained the additional $1 'is voluntary' and goes to a Cabo charity which we agreed to. Overall great stay. Thirdhome, please consider negotiating to lose the timeshare push.”

Another Amazing Week at Solaz

We really can't say enough about how much we love Solaz. The modern architecture and integration with nature, swimmable beach and great food at on-site restaurants is unbeatable. The staff are sweet and seem happy to work there. For parents with a 7 and 10 year old, it's our most relaxing vacation because we feel comfortable letting this kids roam the resort by themselves to go to the game room, cafe or small onsite store. ”

Exceeded all expectations

We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite and were amazed at its size and amenities. Everything was so clean and hi-tech. We loved opening and closing the drapes with the push of a button! The jacuzzi on the lanai was awesome and the view was breathtaking. However, what really made Solaz really special was the staff! From pulling up to the reception area, checking in, having our luggage brought to our villa, the welcome drink, the daily maid service, the pool attendants, the beach setup, the restaurants we were pampered and treated as if we were celebrities. There are so many people to mentio.n. Amanecer, Ernesto, our maid (can't remember her name), all the restaurant staff, and even the gardeners and maintenance men who always acknowledged our presence we thank you for a wonderful week. Do not hesitate to visit Solaz! We can't wait to return.”
