Description

Open to requests for dates not listed, especially April, May, October, November and December.

The best feature of our custom log home is the spectacular mountain view from every room, especially in the 22 ft vaulted great room featuring a massive stone fireplace, rustic maple floors, nine seat leather sofa, native elk horn chandelier and an inspirational view of the ski slopes at Bridger Bowl Ski Area framed in hand-hewn logs.

Often sited in popular ski magazines for its powder snow and variety of runs, Bridger Bowl Ski Area is one of the best value ski resorts in America. New lifts and expanded terrain mean almost no lift lines. Best of all, Bridger Bowl is run by a non-profit company, so lift tickets are about 50% less than most destination ski resorts with a great ski school for beginners and challenging expert runs. Our custom log vacation home is the best place to stay near the slopes with an awesome mountain view of Bridger Bowl and Bohart Cross Country ski areas. You can be sipping wine in the hot tub 5 minutes off the slopes, then cozying up to a crackling fire and savoring slow cooked stew from the gourmet kitchen.

We personally designed and custom built our 4 bedroom, 3 bath log home to feature ambiance, efficiency and relaxation. Amenities include luxury linens, a hot tub, wireless Internet, Satellite TV with 200 channels, DVR, gas grill, a fully stocked gourmet kitchen, radiant heat for warm floors, laundry room, whole house audio, huge stone fireplace, extra large heated garage and much more.

We also custom designed most of the furniture in our home including custom beds devised to hold quality pillow top mattresses for rest and relaxation. Even our bunk beds have the same pillow top mattresses in an extra long twin size, with a shelf and reading light so that a 200 lb adult can sleep on the top bunk in comfort. A personal indulgence is the vanity bath featuring mosaic marble and ceramic tile, a hand hammered copper sink and a Victorian slipper bath tub with Champagne bubble message.

Probably the most important feature of our home is the perfect location. Bridger Vista Lodge is far enough out of town to be quiet and private in a rural setting, but with easy access to the state highway, so you can get to Bozeman quickly for shopping, restaurants, and all that south west Montana has to offer. Many Montana homes are in beautiful settings, but are often back in the hills with long, time consuming drives to get to a main road. Where as, Bridger Vista is in beautiful Bridger Canyon, on a state highway, just 16 miles from Bozeman, 25 miles from the airport, two hours north of Yellowstone National Park, looking onto Bridger Bowl Ski Area, just one mile away and across the road from Bohart Cross Country Ski Center.

There are endless back country trails for miles all around Bridger Vista, for all levels of hiking, mountain biking and cross country skiing. Small stream fishing is close by and river fishing on blue river trout streams is within a half hour drive from our home. Bozeman is well known as a "fishing hub" where you can find the best guides and gear for your fishing adventure or get more advice than you would ever need just by asking anyone at a sporting goods store.

Every season has something to offer at Bridger Vista with recreation year round, but also other amenities to enjoy like abundant and amazing wildflowers, a variety of birds and big game to see like humming birds, eagles, elk, moose and the occasional black bear, cool summer evenings and an amazing night sky for star gazing. The mountains block the light from town and the low humidity and high altitude make the air so clear you are likely to see shooting stars every night and even satellites moving quickly through the milky way. Local rodeos, art festivals and historic activities are also a big draw to the Bozeman area and a unique experience that should not to be missed.

If you want to visit Montana, our rustically elegant log home is the perfect blend of location and luxury to enjoy the mountains in comfort.

**At 6100 ft elevation, the dry mountain climate normally cools our home naturally in summer with the assistance of a few fans. However, due to increasing extreme weather in the last several years, we decided to invest in air-conditioning in 2023 to assist keeping our home comfortable on the hottest summer days**

Can't wait to return!

What a fabulous location and fantastic home! Our family with 2 kids visited in Feb 2019. This home is located about 30 minutes north of Bozeman, 5 minutes from a great ski mountain, Bridger Bowl, and across the street from the nordic ski center. The home is very well appointed, with everything thoughtfully labeled and incredibly family friendly. We cooked virtually all our meals in the chef's kitchen, fully stocked with all the necessary spices and extras, including a Great Aunt's recipe for homemade vanilla ice cream next to the ice cream maker (yum!). The radiant heat kept the home toasty and the heated garage was appreciated. We used the hot tub every day to soothe our ski muscles and enjoy the peace outdoors. The great room has a western lodge feel, complete with wood-burning fireplace and animal pelts. It snowed most every night, which was great for the skiing though we would have liked to take in more of the celestial show. In addition to skiing, we spent a day snowmobiling in Yellowstone (about 2 hrs to the West gate), and an afternoon visiting the dinosaur exhibits at the Museum of the Rockies to round out our visit. The one thing to know before you go is that there is no market or restaurant nearby. ”

Wonderful Property

We had an absolutely wonderful week at Bridger Lodge it did not want to leave. It is a beautiful home and has everything that you could ask for. The view of the neighboring Bridger Bowl Ski Area was amazing and I spent hours looking out the large windows. Wendy was a great host and very accommodating.”
