We thoroughly enjoyed exploring Budapest from the vantage of this unique architectural gem. Situated in a quiet neighborhood overlooking the city, this home is beautifully appointed yet extremely comfortable and inviting. All the amenities one could ask for, including an indoor swimming pool, large hot tub, and sauna, made the decision to venture into the city difficult. The owners were stellar hosts on every level. In addition to the wonderful welcoming package, they were friendly and communicative. They went far above the norm to ensure we had everything we needed. We highly recommend this home on so many levels.”

Amazing house in Budapest

We spend a perfect week in the amazing Budapest. Janos' house is perfect in many aspects. Some of the highlights are; special seclude location, beautiful modern architecture, comfortable and extremely well-equipped. On top of that, it has fantastic spa with sauna, jacuzzi and swimming pool. Janos was extremely helpful with recommendations and support during our stay. Thank you so much for hosting us!”

A Serene and Special Aerie

Forget the Buda Castle, you can live like royalty in this magnificent modernist mansion in the tranquil Buda Hills overlooking the city. The house, about 10 years old, is an architect's dream, combining a spacious, light-filled, open plan with detailing, materials, amenities, fixtures, and appliances of the highest order. Sliding glass doors open the interiors to the outdoors; numerous terraces and decks provide opportunities for dining, conversation, or simply enjoying the spectacular views. The indoor pool, hot tub, and sauna are stiff competition for heading into the city; indeed, several among our party opted to decompress with a "spa day" at home rather than go sightseeing. From first contact, your host, Janos, will set a high standard of responsiveness and helpfulness in answering questions and providing information. His driver, Jozsef, and housekeeper, Nora, are also available during the week to offer their services. Keep in mind that the house is in the hills overlooking Budapest. So sightseeing and dinners out will require making an arrangement with Jozsef or, more spontaneously, using the reliable taxi app to summon a taxi. Taxis are inexpensive, so this was not an issue in the slightest. And well worth it for enjoying such a rare and secluded base of operations. This property is Third Home at its best!”

Buda Hills

My husband and I spent a wonderful week in Budapest. This was our first trip to this ancient and beautiful city. The home was magnificent and the owner's housekeeper and driver (Eliz and József) were available to call on at any time. There is so much to see and do we know we must return. Lovely Mountain Home, Spacious, Comfortable and with Spectacular Views of the City

A beautiful home and great accommodations for our week in Hungary! The house was very spacious and comfortable. The owners - Edit and Janos - took great care of us during our stay...maid service was provided daily and a contact person (Zsolt) was on hand to assist us if needed. Normafa is a well know area and public transportation runs close by. However, we do recommend reserving a rental car from the USA. It is significantly less expensive. Warning: The penalty for a late (including minutes) car rental return is hefty....ours was Euro147.00 on a $77 rental. That said, we thoroughly enjoyed our time in Budapest - the piano bar cruise on the Danube was most enjoyable and entertaining. The Great Market Hall in Down town Budapest is a MUST!!! They have great fruits, vegetables and even a meat market. The building is spectacular and the upstairs stalls provide wonderful options for lunch. Best to shop at the Mom Park - a shopping Mall with a large supermarket. The Big Bus tours gives you a 2 for 1 deals.....including Budapest and Vienna. Skip the boat cruise in Vienna. The boat ride was hot (June) and not the least bit interesting. We dined at a restaurant called Nancsi neni endegloje Budapest, ordogarok Utca 80 and would recommend it to those looking for authentic Hungarian cuisine.”
