Mead Camp is a 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath, 2,600 sq. ft. architecturally significant New England home, listed on the National Historic Register and spectacularly sited on the shores of Doolittle Lake in Norfolk CT. Built as a summer getaway in 1930 by noted architect Alfredo Taylor for the Mead Family, it has been sensitively updated with all modern conveniences in an elegant rustic style, in keeping with its setting and architecture.

The house is situated on 3 waterfront acres and consists of four bedrooms, a magnificent Great Room with double height ceilings, monumental fieldstone fireplace, and a chefs kitchen.

The Doolittle Lake Company is a private, members' only community, consisting of 200+ acres of property for members' and their guests' use.

There are 2 lakes, a separate clubhouse with lawn areas, a sandy beach for paddling, and hundreds of acres of trails to hike. Kayaks, canoes, and paddle boards are also available. The property has its own floating dock, off which you may swim, launch your canoe, or enjoy the sunset in the evenings.

**PLEASE NOTE that no pets are allowed and all motorized watercraft are strictly prohibited. This is an ecologically pristine environment that prides itself on being the cleanest lake in CT. As such, the quality of water is extraordinary.
