Great Apartment in a nice location

Very much enjoyed my stay at this apartment. It is on the 5th floor with no elevator so the climb was daunting but not terrible and in return you get lovely views over the city of London with very little street noise. Hosts were very accommodating and great communicators. Apartment was clean and well-equipped. The surrounding area has plenty of trendy local shops, pubs, and restaurants, and the nearby tube station and bus stops made travel a breeze. Would stay again. ”

Great stay; be aware of the stairs

We had a fantastic week in Portobello. The hosts were great about communicating. The unit was lovely; the hosts were gracious. We had cooking essentials all available - salt, pepper, cooking oil, water, and even some fresh fruit and snacks were there upon our arrival. They had great espresso for the machine as well as tea in the cupboards. The stairs are not for the faint of heart. Carrying our luggage up the stairs was no small feat (we were on a 4 week travelling trip so had a lot of luggage). The area is fantastic - a short walk to the underground and London was at our fingertips. There are great eateries a few minutes' walk from the flat as well as a nearby grocery store for getting items if you want to cook. The views from the bedroom and living area were very nice because you are on the top floor so could see over the nearby buildings. Would definitely go again!”

Not as advertised

It was more like a dorm room. And it was a five floor walk up which the description did say but we didn’t realize how difficult that would be, particularly with luggage. Not at all up to the standards of other third home stays we have done. ”

Very nice stay in a wonderful location

We enjoyed out visit to London and our stay in Portobello was memorable. The unit is smaller, but offers a clean layout and all the basic amenities. The best feature of this home is its quick access to various London restaurants and tourist attractions. We'd happily visit again on our next trip across the pond!”
