- The Northern Beaches are a very special part of Australia. Heading up the coast you will be spoilt for choice in terms of beaches. Curl Curl, Palm Beach and Bilgola are favourites.
- Take a trip out to The Basin from Avalon. Don't forget to bring a pic-nic or some food to cook on the bbqs. A lovely day out
Places of Interest
- Sydney - you will have driven through it to get to Clontarf, but a great way to get into the city to explore is to take the ferrt from Manly that goes right past The Opera house and into the CBD.
- Try and catch a performance at the Opera House if you can
- Manly is just a 10 minute drive away and it is awash with shops, cafes and excellent restaurants.

Combine an amazing host, fabulous views, convenience to city and spectacular beaches and you have Clontarf Hideaway! Let me start by saying Australia is one of my favorite countries and this location in Clontarf is perfect and central to see the best of what Australia offers. Walk down the steps of the home and you have a fantastic coffee and breakfast shop on the water so no worries, get your flat white within 2 minutes of wakening...or use the coffee maker in the kitchen. We kayaked over to Plonk across the bay for breakfast and ate all of our dinners within 10 minutes of our home. The main ferry to downtown Sydney is in Manley, 10 minutes away. We actually walked from Clontarf to Manly along the water and preserve which was about a 2 2-1/2 hour walk that was one of the most breathtaking walks you can do anywhere. Highly recommend. The apartment below the main house is great, but for bigger groups get the main home upstairs if available. ”
