November 2024Running Horse Spectacular
Absolutely loved our stay at Hololio House! Got to watch some polo practice and the hosts were very accommodating. Wonderful to stay in a house with such history. Such a beautiful home and property. Loved the pool, too! Thank you.”

July 2024Beautiful Historic Farmhouse
My family of four had a lovely time at this gorgeous historic farmhouse. We visited in the middle of the winter and the house was warm and charming with the fireplace going in the living room. The kitchen is fully equipped. The bedrooms are comfortable. The views are spectacular. The owner of the house was a perfect hostess. She helped us organize every aspect of our trip to Auckland. We were only half an hour away from Auckland and we visited sites and restaurants. It was a fabulous stay!”

November 2023Beautiful property and lovely host
Jim and I had the best time staying at Josephine’s enchanted farm. It was so beautiful and relaxing, that we had a hard time leaving it to explore the surroundings. We spent most of the week just being on the farm and enjoying the nature all around it. The property is beautiful. The farmhouse is truly charming and very well equipped with everything one would ever need to stay in a home away from home. We loved watching the sheep graze and enjoyed the horses and polo playing astound the farm. We went to a close by farmers market, which was wonderful. We brought our US credit cards and American dollars, which, unfortunately did not work at the farmers market. Josephine was kind enough to exchange our dollars for New Zealand dollars and saved us. Josephine is an amazing host, very kind and friendly and super responsive. We will definitely be back there and can’t wait. We can highly recommend this property to anyone who is looking for quiet, relaxation, nature, and a charming unique place that you will likely not find anywhere else. ”
