Our Crown of the Continent house is a remarkable place to enjoy the outdoor recreation that Fernie has to offer. Located on a quiet street on the Elk River without any houses in front of us, we have unspoiled views of the spectacular Rocky Mountains. Right out the door is access to fly fishing, walking, biking and cross country trails that go for miles along the river.

Our house is very well equipped and comfortable. With lots of natural light and mountain views, there are two comfortable separate sitting areas in the house where you can relax and gaze at the mountains. You might even see a moose or grizzly up on the mountainside. Outside are outdoor patios at the front and the back of the house along with a deck and a private outside hot tub.

The yard is like a park with a groomed lawn and beautiful plants full of song birds, butterflies and bees. The back yard is enclosed by 15 foot cedars and the front patio is totally private but still has wonderful views.

The house is well designed for living. The two bedrooms are upstairs and have their own private bathrooms. The prime bedroom faces the river and you can hear it running while sleeping with the windows open. As a result of being on the river, the yard and house cool down nicely, even when it is hot during the day. There is a separate laundry room with a new washer and dryer with a fold down ironing table and iron and an area to hang clothes to dry.

For cooks, our kitchen is well appointed and comes complete with all the kitchen equipment you will need including spices and oils. For those of you who love to dine, we have complete sets of dishware and glassware, table clothes, napkins, and vases for your flowers. The Bosch dishwasher is very quiet.

We have high speed wireless Internet and a complete TV system with cable, Netflix and Prime.

Our house is the perfect place to relax and take a private hot tub after your day of skiing, hiking, biking, golfing, kayaking, or fly fishing. Beautiful views and comfortable surroundings will make your stay one to remember.

Fernie is rated one of the top ski resorts in North America. It consistently gets 35+ feet of powder snow per year and is a skiiers paradise.

The Elk River flows through the valley and offers world class fly fishing throughout the summer. There are numerous biking and hiking trails that start right in front of our place. Our 18-hole golf course is one of the most scenic in the world.

The entire town is surrounded by spectacular mountains and there are unbelievable summer driving roads for sport car and motorcycle enthusiasts.

Fernie has numerous live music venues and a good assortment of restaurants from Japanese to steak houses. It has numerous boutiques and galleries for shopping, and was recently ranked #3 in the World by Powder Skiing Magazine.
