Sky High Adventures - Ski-in/Ski-out
Perched atop Oz Run at Beech Mountain, this incredible ski-in/ski-out home flaunts convenience to the slopes and striking mountain views. Aptly named Sky High Adventures, it’s the third-highest elevation property east of the Mississippi and one of just ten homes within walking distance from the famous 5506’ Sky Bar, offering yoga, and chair lift rides down to the Beech Mountain brewery and Resort Village. With plenty of space at home and on-site amenities, groups of all sizes can enjoy a relaxing ski week in the winter or an exciting week of biking, hiking, and sightseeing in the warmer months!
This luxurious mountaintop dwelling has been newly renovated and now offers five bedrooms, four upgraded bathrooms, and several brand-new large decks. The first features a large hot tub overlooking the ski slope; the second provides a spacious outdoor dining table; and the expansive third-level deck boats comfortable seating designed to enjoy incomparable sunset views.
The living room is reminiscent of a luxury ski lodge with vaulted ceilings and knotty wood walls. Enjoy a private showing of the mountains right from the couch or watch the sunset after a day on the slopes. With ample theater-style seating and a modern entertainment center, this is the perfect place for all to gather. Light the fireplace after a chilly day or enjoy a movie on the 65” mounted flatscreen television. Better yet, get the fun flowing in the home’s game room, featuring a pinball machine, Nintendo Wii, ping pong, darts, board games, and a 55” TV. This space also doubles as a sixth sleeping area with two fold-out queen beds.
Flowing into the newly updated kitchen, guests will have everything they need to cook from home. The chefs in the family will enjoy the brand-new appliances, including a double oven and five-burner gas cooktop, as well as the beautiful granite counters and large wood cabinets. Dine mountainside at the dining table surrounded by windows, or open the sliding glass doors to the balcony.
Sky High Adventures features five bedrooms with flatscreen TVs and Alexas, spread out across multiple levels and the corners of the home, offering optimal privacy. Four of the bedrooms are suites, all with newly renovated bathrooms and a total of five showers. The master has a king bed, three rooms offer queen beds, and the fifth room has a queen and a twin-over-full bunk.
The home is located just a short distance from the Beech Mountain Club, where guests can enjoy access to fantastic amenities like private restaurants, championship golf, professional tennis, and a heated pool—just to name a few. Guest passes must be requested and paid for in advance, and limitations may apply due to Covid.
Additionally, the Buckeye Recreation Center and numerous trout fishing streams are located close by, and we can even connect you with the best local fly fishing guides. Guests also enjoy private access to the Gated Winter Road, which offers a shorter route to and from Banner Elk, so you can even experience more activities, including horseback riding, UTV tours, an alpine roller coaster, white water rafting and tubing trips, dining, shopping, and so much more.
IMPORTANT NOTES
- If you want to stay and play on the slopes, during winter (November-April) you'll need to come prepared to handle heavy snow. Our driveway receives both natural snow and manmade snow from the blowers. You must bring 4WD or AWD vehicles to drive up to Beech Mountain, and chains may also be necessary during bad weather.
- Sky High Adventures is located next door to the Land Of Oz theme park, open during select weekends each year. During its open times, you may experience additional traffic near the home.
- Sky High Adventures is a seasonal ski-in/ski-out home on the Oz Run. Availability of ski-in/ski-out access to Oz Run is seasonal and not guaranteed. Beech Mountain Resort opens the Oz Run during busy times when extra space is needed to accommodate increased visitors. Primary ski runs are still within close walking distance from home.
