Come enjoy the best of summer in the Berkshires. Sit on the stone patio and watch the sunset or take a walk on the path around the property. In the winter, enjoy the wood burning stove or fireplace in the great room and the radiant heat in the floors.

20 minutes to HUDSON NY for great restaurants, antiques, and Amtrak. 25 minutes to GREAT BARRINGTON MA for great restaurants, shopping, and concerts. 45 minutes to LENOX MA for great restaurants, shopping, Tanglewood, Kripalu yoga and Canyon Ranch Day Spa.

Hillsdale is centrally located in Columbia County and has a great new restaurant (Crossroads) and a supermarket. In the Summer there is a farmers market every other Saturday. The Hawthorne Valley Farm and Store are in the next town over. Also a short drive to John Andrews (upscale farmhouse restaurant) or Four Brothers Pizza. Convenient to Taconic Parkway. Outlet shopping in Lee MA.

The house is also only 8 minutes from CATAMOUNT – for an amazing adventure park in the Summer and skiing in the Winter. Mountain Cats is an excellent kids ski program. Other skiing nearby include Butternut, Bosquet and Jiminy Peak.

Outdoor activities include hiking, lakes, biking, and swimming. The Hudson Valley Rail Trail runs from Copake Falls to Wassaic. There is swimming in many lakes and pools including Lake Taghkanic and Taconic State Park. Bash Bish Falls is a great hike and a great swim. Also nearby are Copake Lake. Pick-your-own fruit varies by season but is always a treat!

The Berkshires is the home of Williamstown Theatre Festival, Barrington Stage, Berkshire Theatre Festival, Jacobs Pillow, Tanglewood, Norman Rockwell’s home and museum, the Clark Museum, MASS MOCA, just to name a few. Every season offers great things for the individual, couple or family.
