Two of the most notable landmarks of this Great Lakes region in the Straits of Mackinac, is Lake Huron itself, as it is the world's largest freshwater lake; and the other natural beauty is a series of over 100 inland lakes, the most notable being Manitoulin island that encompasses Treasure Island. In addition, for history buffs, Georgian Bay is the largest bay on Lake Huron and has a vast historic shipping legacy of lore and legends, and it contains 212 of the 1000 sunken vessels that are in the lake. Many of the beautiful beaches of this region, with their pebbled-sand shores and crystal-clear water coves, have given it the local name of "Canada's Caribbean"!

Escape into a newly constructed A-Frame Lake Cabin located on over 25-acres situated within this paradise found on Lake Huron. Drive down its 4oo-ft gravel road and "off-road" it into a remote yet central location to truly unwind and "become one" within its natural surroundings. Step inside this charming built home that is plucked in the middle of the woods, and find more natural designed aesthetics in its minimalist-modern intimate living spaces - perfect for small families and friend groups. The Great Room provides a warm cozy wood-burning pot-belly fireplace and a "Scandinavian-Canadian" ambiance, with vaulted ceilings and floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors and large loft windows to allow natural light to infuse the room. Seating area is beautifully outfitted in neutral furnishings, making it perfect to lounge and entertain - enjoy sipping wine or a cocktail while listening to music on the record player or through the stereo system provided, along with fun board games and books. The Great Room leads out onto the large 34' x 14' wooden deck for further space when gathering. Keeping with the "be one with nature" appeal, the residence does not offer televisions, so as to enjoy one another's company and retreat into a more peaceful mindset while on vacation. There is also a Sitting Room with large picture windows, which includes a day bed for lounging and reading, or if can provide sleeping accommodations for one person; in addition to two wing-back chairs. More entertaining objects of desire can be found in this room which includes an abundance of games, puzzles and an acoustic guitar. Internet access is provided however due to the remote location, it can be spotty at times in this area. Although the residence is not air-conditioned, it is centrally heated for the colder climate months.

When hunger pains strike, flow into the charming kitchen that is fully stocked and enjoy light meals on the wooden dining table. For coffee aficionados, there are three brewers to choose from - drip, press and chemex - with coffee beans (and teas) provided to guests. Enjoy slumbering in any of its three bedrooms, with one shared bath. The Master Bedroom on the main floor includes a Queen bed, dresser and picture window. Located on the second floor are two bedrooms, one offering a Queen Bed and a Single Bed, along with a dresser and vented skylight and window; while the third bedroom includes a Queen Bed, crib or single bed, dresser, vented skylight and lookout over the Great Room down below. The shared bathroom is located on the main floor, and includes a claw-foot tub, full shower, sink/vanity, towels and linens, including a hair dryer and other bathroom amenities for guests (shampoo, conditioner, soaps). The home also provides a Pack & Play for kids, and a high-char for infants if needed.

Embrace the outdoors with your family and friends directly from the home, with access to trails right off the deck. From here, one can explore the forest or make their way directly to its lake access to hop into a canoe and paddle the beautiful shoreline. Enjoy gathering on the expansive backyard deck that includes a picnic table-bench and chairs (for seating up to eight people), along with a propane and a charcoal BBQ grill for cooking-out (propane is provided). The front deck of the residence offers another small deck, and a landscaped yard with a fire pit and additional Adirondack chairs for lounging, including a hammock, bocce and badminton toys. Remote yet central, there are so many activities one can enjoy within this gorgeous lake setting!
