Our Favorite ThirdHome Property

This was our family’s fifth week at the Ritz Carlton in St. Thomas, and it’s our favorite property in the program. We absolutely love the grounds, the staff, the spacious accommodations, and of course the island itself. This resort is especially fantastic for families. My two kids loved their first visit while they were just in elementary and middle school, and they had just as much fun as high schoolers on our last visit. We can’t recommend this property highly enough! ”

Getaway to St. Thomas

In all our travels we have never been treated and greeted as we did at The Ritz-Carlton club. The staff was exceptional. They constantly checked with us to make sure our needs were being met. Every time we passed an employee we were greeted. The room was great. We had daily maid service. There are three (3) restaurants on the property that is shared with the Ritz Carlton Hotel. The food was great. If you didn't want to eat at the resort you can take a taxi to a restaurant close by. There are excursions you can take along with a ferry ride to St John. We did the excursion to the Baths in Virgin Gorda. It was worth it.”

Phenomenal

Absolutely phenomenal time at the Ritz Club residence. You have full access to the entire property. The staff are all friendly and so accommodating. Weather in December was perfect- light breezy 80 degree sunny days. Just love also how convenient the location is in regards to the airport-25 mins to the resort. We took the ferry to St John for dinners and snorkeling/hike a few of the days- only 20 mins ferry. Great time! The actual unit we had was just as advertised as well. Feel very fortunate we got to experience this trip! ”

In spending a week here, all of our experiences were wonderful. From the time we arrived until we left the staff were extremely hospitable and helpful, even making suggestions for restaurants and fun places to visit during our stay. The grounds were immaculate and housekeeping ensured that our unit was extremely clean and well-stocked, checking on us in the midst of our stay to make sure we did not need any additional items. We also want to highlight the food! Special thanks to Chef Rolando and his team for making every meal an unforgettable culinary experience. The food tasted so fresh and delicious and the service was amazing. I would highly recommend staying here and the Norman family definitely plans to return!”

Great week overall

Unit interiors are nice and have decent kitchen - this might be petty, but my only complaint about the actual units were the towels. They were worn and not plush - something you might use in your garage or a cheap motel. But otherwise housekeeping is great and friendly. General property, pool beach area etc are also nice and it's a pretty location, however be warned there is a LOT of seaweed and it is constant. About half a dozen guys work all day everyday raking it up, but there is too much to keep up with. Negatives: They tack on an extra $200/wk "third party booking fee" at check-in which I don't believe is shown in the fees on the Thirdhome site. Kind of annoying and wasn't disclosed. The food is very expensive on property and is fine, not spectacular but good. Everything on the island is expensive - groceries are 2-3X cost on mainland. Taxis are outrageous - costs $25+ for 3 people to ride a mile into Redhook each way (too dangerous to walk in my view). You might consider a rental car as it gives you more options off-property, however those likewise are expensive ($600+/week for a small car) -- so you're going to pay up either way. We still had a nice time and took two trips on the Ritz boat which was very convenient. ”

Great place, poor communication

The resort is super close to St. John so the excursions are great. The staff were kind and courteous. Though we rented a car you probably would be better off just using taxis. Not five star because no one ever told us until checkout that Thirdhome stays required another $200 on top of the $25/ day fee so beware. I'm not sure who dropped the ball on this, but I don't like finding out stuff like that on checkout.”

Best stay ever

Everyone was great and treated us so well. The resort was awesome and not over crowded like most others. We could actually get chairs by the pool without waking up at 8am to get them. This was the best family trip we have ever taken. ”

Nice property, some hidden fees

The property was beautiful and the staff were all very nice and helpful. The prices (food and taxis especially) on St Thomas are higher than other resorts but it’s a small island so that’s somewhat expected and most places were delicious. I’m a vegetarian and there was at least one option at each place we ate, but for vegans like my husband it would have been more tough though not impossible. The boat trip over to St John from the property was worth the side trip, especially since the weather was nice. There were plenty of chairs when we went though it was off season. The beach area is pretty small but sufficient for families with kids that want to play in the sand and the bay that the resort sits in makes the water very safe for families with younger kids. My only complaint is there was a second added fee added on to the bill at the end that was not mentioned at check in, in the ThirdHome listing when I booked, or on all ThirdHome listings for this property that I’ve seen since my stay so just be aware of that. I’m still not even sure what the fee was for (customer service at the resort never responded to my emails) so I’m not sure if it’s unit size specific or a flat fee but for us it was a few hundred dollars so just be prepared for that and then you’ll have a great stay.”

Huge Room, Great Pools, Lots to do

We absolutely loved our stay. Our family of four (two toddlers and two adults) had more than enough room in the huge suite. We were on the top floor and had an ocean view, which was the icing on the cake. We rented a car and drove to Cost U Less to get groceries, so we enjoyed all the meals we cooked on the balcony. When not eating on the balcony, we loved the poolside restaurants, albeit Ritz pricing. ;) We took the car ferry to St John ($65 round trip) and visited Trunk Bay and ate at Skinny Legs. We took family pictures at Magnes Beach on St Thomas. We did a Lady Lynsey sailing dinner cruise to St. John, which drops you off at the dock and allows you to dine at your choice or restaurant before re-boarding 2 hours later. Super fun. We loved kayaking and using the Hobie Cats. It was great to have access to all the pools (Club and Hotel) within walking distance, because it kept things different! ”

First Class!

Hands down .... the BEST location on the island!! The entire staff was Ritz concierge-quality. Location had a steady breeze even in the early mornings as it's situated on the far east of Amalie. Boat excursions of all types are on the property or just beside and island transportation is always available for the Ritz guests. The 2-bedroom unit was 3rd Home top-quality as usual. First Class all the way!!”

Great resort in a great location

The accommodations and service here are fabulous and we will definitely return soon. Highly recommend taking a snorkeling or other excursion on the Lady Lynsey - we did the one to Maho Bay and thoroughly enjoyed it. One caution for a week here - there is a public beach adjacent to the Lily building that gets quite loud on Sundays until a bit after sunset - plan on dining off the resort Sunday night until about 8:00 pm to avoid it as the staff indicated it is a fairly regular occurrence.”

Summer Vacation at The Ritz-Carlton St. Thomas USVI

What a fabulous resort in the beautiful US Virgin Islands! The room was esquisite- large, gorgeous views and balconies, well-stocked kitchen, etc. etc. Cleaning service was great! The pools were beautiful with plenty of seating and umbrellas. Our favorite restaurant was Coconut Cove onsite, and The Carribean Fish House close to the resort. Beaches were beautiful! Awesome ferry trip to St. John's Honeymoon Beach for a day and a catamaran sailing and snorkeling trip to St. John also. The concierge service was the best we have ever experienced! Highly recommend this resort! We will return next year!”

Everything was great

This resort is fantastic. The condo was very spacious and had a great layout. The view from the balcony was incredible. The amenities were spot on. Pools, paddle boards, snorkeling gear, Hobie Cats, kayaks, etc. The entire property was maintained to perfection. The restaurants and food were top notch and the employees/service was over the top as well. Our only complaint is how pool chairs get claimed early in the morning an then nobody actually sits in them. There are not enough pool chairs and the resort doesn't have a good way of policing this so if you don't go put a book or something on your chairs bright and early in the morning, you go without for a whole day. Seems like there has to be a better way or get more chairs or redo the configuration.”

Accommodations are absolutely wonderful. Super spacious. Having the kitchen, nicely stocked, was helpful because we could make breakfast and have coffee in the room. The daily cleaning service is superb. Beautiful grounds and helpful staff. Ideal week in tropical paradise. Please note, it’s probably best to just use taxi service everywhere. I wouldn’t consider renting a car with the narrow streets. Everyone seems to get taxis and they are pretty much everywhere... The moe’s market in town is really nice and they can deliver to your unit before you arrive ( arrangements made through the Club.) The restaurants ( both at hotel and Club) on premise are fine but we really enjoyed the Caribbean Fish market (which is the only restaurant off property that you can walk to) and Sunset Grille ( a short minute cab ride away.) I miss it already. P.s. Felt very safe during Covid. ”

Gorgeous New Pool

The Ritz-Carlton Club is my go-to spot to recharge and rejuvenate! My recent stay was just as wonderful as the previous ones. This time, though, I got to enjoy the brand new family pool complete with a water slide and luxurious shade cabanas! I am glad to report that I was impressed with the COVID-19 protocols in place and felt safe for the duration of my stay. I'll be back before too long to soak up the beauty of the Ritz-Carlton Club once more!”

It has a very good workout facility with free weights, workout stations, treadmills and exercise bikes. The restaurants at the Ritz offering everything from fine moonlight dining to tropical drinks served poolside. Also an easy taxi drive to Red Hook where there are plenty of great restaurants and bars plus the ferry for day trips to St John's . St Thomas escape during the heat of the summer

We escaped the heat of the mainland and all things going on in the mainland by spending time in the Virgin Islands this past summer. This included a stay at the Ritz Carlton Destination Club on St. Thomas. What a welcome breath of fresh air and much needed peace and tranquility! The property is gorgeous, the villas impeccable and although no typical house keeping services could be rendered due to covid, they were prompt in responding to our needs. Although it sits on a beautiful location, the seagrass detracts from the beach area but it is sheltered and one can swim and snorkel safely for a fair distance , given it's horseshoe type elongated cove. The views of the channel from our balcony were fabulous. The property has bbq grills and we found plenty of fresh fish and quality meats, produce and anything else we needed at Moe's grocery store in Red Hook, a short drive away. We would have loved to eat out on our lovely patio looking out onto the ocean and St John in the distance, but the "no see-ums" were brutal, so we opted to eat in most nights. A very nice, daily treat from guest services was the freshly baked cookies that were placed just inside our front door foyer. What a nice surprise to find an assortment of yummy cookies awaiting us after a day at the beach! All in all, a wonderful week was had by the 4 family members and we all agreed this was such a special way to spend our time together during the time of covid. ”

Good to be back in Paradise

In these crazy times, we finally had the opportunity to escape back to this paradise in St Thomas. Certainly things are a bit different with all the Covid constraints.... but for the most part manageable. The staff remains very welcoming. The facilities are outstanding, especially now that the Ritz hotel is once again open and there are restaurant options. The cabanas around the hotel pool are a great option and the kids love the new water slide. Some of the beach on the Club side has been restored but is still a far cry from what it used to be. And unfortunately the seaweed is back as well.”

Our first stay post hurricane Maria... tremendous progress on Club side, especially restoring all the vegetation that was wiped out. Too bad the beach remains virtually nonexistent. Wonderful Week!

Our week at the Ritz Carlton was wonderful! Although there were some changes to their normal routines due to COVID, it never interfered with our enjoyment of our week. We were provided new towels and linens as needed even though there was no daily housekeeping available. We were provided a welcome package with masks, hand sanitizer, sanitizing wipes and gloves. We always felt comfortable poolside and beachside, as they were requiring social distancing between groups. They still provided pool floats, however they were checked out directly to you and sanitized prior to and after. The service was spot on, as you would expect at a Ritz Carlton. This was our second time visiting this property and we weren’t disappointed!!”

Excellent time at Ritz St Thomas

We had a wonderful time at Ritz St Thomas. COVID was slow to get to the islands and many restaurants and bars were open until the end of the trip. Service and housekeeping at the Ritz was excellent as usual. We always enjoy our time here in paradise!”

Perfect location for a family vacation!

This was the perfect spot for our family four (kids ages 9 and 11) to escape this winter! The unit was equipped with everything we needed to prepare our own meals, and the view from our own balcony was as good as any restaurant we found elsewhere! The local grocery market in Red Hook was a short 5 minute drive, as well as several great spots for dinner. We enjoyed one snorkeling excursion through Cruz Bay Water Sports (conveniently located right at the family pool), and it was our favorite day of the trip...there was even another family from 3rd Home on our boat! Coconut Cove, the poolside restaurant, was great for quick bites and frozen drinks too. We purchased the water sports day pass on the “hotel side” of the beach several days; and all four of us enjoyed the Hobie Cats, kayaks, paddle boards and snorkel gear as well. The food at the casual restaurant on that side of the resort was not nearly as good as the one on the Residence Club side (in our opinion). We were all sad to leave, as it was truly a perfect family vacation! ”

We went over on the Red Hook ferry to St Johns one day and rented a Jeep and explored the many beaches. The next day hired a guide and went all through the BVI hot spots. Great time! Still Recovering

We stayed here a couple years ago and it was great. It has had significant damage from two back to back category 5 hurricanes. The club part is up and running but the hotel in not. The hurricane took all the beach in front of the club area. In the club area there is maybe a few feet of sand left. No possibility of taking a walk on the beach. Also there is an incredible amount of seaweed that piles up on the “beach” and one has to walk through for about ten yards of it before you get to a clearing. The pool in the club area was open and it was nice. The bar and restaurant by the pool were good. The level of service was not to the Ritz level. The hotel apparently will open soon. I think that will raise the level of service and amenities. There is a beach in front of the hotel area which was closed off. This unit was on the first floor so view was partially obstructed. They couldn’t/wouldn’t move us to a higher floor. Might want to check on your room location before you go. Last time we went we were on the third floor and had a lovely unobstructed view. I think the whole place will be better once the hotel opens again.”

Good but not great...

WEATHER: The 87 degree weather with a non-stop light ocean breeze is the best thing about the island. We had amazing weather all week which was the highlight. It is humid but the breeze keeps you comfortable. The only negative on the humidity is you can't really keep your doors open in the condo because it will immediately make the floors damp and all the mirrors will fog up so you are either in Air Conditioning or outside but no "outdoor living" situation where you keep all the windows open and feel the breeze inside. No biggie though. THE RESORT: Upon arrival, I was a bit disappointed with the resort! There is absolutely no "wow" factor which gets you excited when you first arrive. You pull up to a very basic and pedestrian looking front entrance with a small lobby. Granted, last year we stayed at the Four Seasons Costa Rica where the wow factor was off the charts so it might not have been a fair expectation but none the less, just know it's not impressive and feels like your basic everyday condo complex. The hotel side is closed along with all the amenities and restaurants and they are doing construction daily but we were on the opposite end so the noise was not an issue.. We are on the Time share portion of the resort and there is 1 main restaurant open which is an open air concept just steps from the sand serving very basic and non-memorable food. $20 pizzas, wings, salads...$45 steaks, etc. They have a breakfast buffet that we didn't try because it ends at 10am and was pretty minimal...omelettes, bagels...no waffles or pancakes for some reason. We only ate at the restaurant twice in 7 days. THE PEOPLE: The clientele at this resort is the time share owners who come 3 weeks a year from the East Coast or the South and bring their whole family. Lots of groups of 5-8 people, lots of little kids and college kids roaming around like they own the place (they kinda do). We had a few annoying groups of college kids wearing cowboy hats getting drunk and yelling "yee-ha" for hours from the balcony which we could hear from the "Serene" pool. The drinking age is 18 so the bar at the restaurant is filled with teenagers. The one dinner we had at the restaurant, you will see whole tables with just 5-8 year olds and the next table will be the adults. Luckily, they mellowed out for the remainder of the week but wherever we went, they were there (it's a small place). The interior of the condo is a bit outdated (the owners opted not to remodel after the hurricane) but it's very nice and comfortable, just not modern. Beds and sheets are really, really good...Frette sheets and the beds are very soft! Bathrooms and showers were great and the kitchen is stocked with everything you need plus they have a "spice market" where you can order small packets of pretty much any spice for cooking so you don't have to buy them at the store and you can borrow additional kitchen appliances like a juicer, rice cooker, etc. They also provide really good island roasted coffee, plus housekeeping and turn down service every day...That was nice! There are 2 pools...one "family" pool which is the largest and unless you have a kid you don't want to go near there. The smaller pool is the "serene" pool and 18 and over only. Typically, there was only a few people there at any one time which was nice. No need to rush down to save a chair anywhere on the resort. There were even some nice couch areas right on the sand that were often empty and for the taking anytime. I would say the beach loungers were about 80% empty the whole time. The best deal at the resort is for a $35 flat fee (for your whole group) you can use the kayaks, SUP, snorkeling gear and even a Hobie cat for the whole day. We did that twice! The beach is very short (5 or so feet) and very rocky with lots of seaweed. They do clean it in the morning but it's still all in the water. The water is warm though and it's nice to take the floats and just chill in the ocean. There are fish but the snorkeling in the bay of the hotel is pretty minimal. We saw a few things but it's not like Hawaii. THE ISLAND: We didn't venture out of the resort the whole week except to go to the grocery store 3 times. We didn't have a car and taxis charge by the person so for my husband and I to go to the grocery store it was $25 round trip ($10 each way pp + tip). The grocery store (Moe's) is just 5 minutes away by car or a 15 min walk which we attempted once (don't do it). It's a small road with non-stop taxis speeding by and no sidewalks...we almost died! The grocery stores are EXPENSIVE! They don't have any agriculture on the island so everything is shipped in and fruits and veggies are not the best, in small quantities and double the price. $10 for a box of cereal...$10 for milk...$15 for a bag of grapefruits. Basically, every items is at least $8 and up. Best deal at Moe's (like a small Trader Joes) is a $7 rotisserie chicken and they have a decent salad bar for $9/lb. There is another grocery store that is slightly cheaper but is pretty ghetto and feels like a 3rd world country. The rest of the island is pretty ghetto as well...run down houses...very low income...feels like Tijuana or any other 3rd world country you've ever been to. The shopping is non-existent so i didn't even bother.....the restaurants in Red Hook (which is the town we are in) are just a little strip mall across from the grocery store and didn't feel worth going into so we cooked in most days. You get a good glimpse of the area as you drive from the airport and we didn't see anything worth venturing out for plus even though the weather is great...if you're not in your bathing suit by the water, it is really hot and sticky to walk around and look at stuff. Overall, we had a good time but coming from the West Coast, the Virgin Islands are not really worth the long travel times to visit again. There is nothing unique about the island so you might as well just go to Mexico or Costa Rica or Hawaii with half the plane ride and better food selections. If you are an East coaster, it's just a 3 hour flight so I can see why they go. ”

Wonderful place - the snorkeling is beautiful right off the cove and the club offers a variety of pools to suit families or couples desiring peace and quiet. Several good restaurants nearby and the club is situated 5 minutes away from the ferry dock, so it is very easy to go over to St. John and explore anytime. Would def. recommend if you are looking for a beautiful, peaceful Caribbean getaway! ”

13 months after 2 category 5 hurricanes the Ritz Carlton Club is back. The unit was fully renovated, beautiful and in new condition. The pool and landscaping were also beautifully restored. The white sand beach is mostly gone but enough exists for 2 rows of chairs and area to walk along the beach and this didn't impact our enjoyment. Coconut Cove- pool bar/ restaurant and Grand Palazzo restaurant were open but not terrific. When the Ritz Carlton Hotel is fully renovated later this year with additional restaurants, spa and services I would give the property 5 stars. ”

Short five dollar taxi ride to $6 ferry ride to St. John (best “cruise” deal around). ...or just hang out at the pool and Great Bay! I spotted seven lobsters, two sting rays, a turtle, and numerous fish snorkling the reef out front!”

Great property for relaxation

The property is beautiful with multiple pools to relax by and a beach area. The residence we stayed in had amazing views and was spacious. The twice daily maid service was great and they always had our residence spotless after they left! The club house area has free fruit in the mornings, coffee and fresh cookies in the afternoon. Taking the ferry (5 minutes away) over to St. John is a must, you will find stunning beaches there. I would highly recommend eating at Zozo's restaurant located at Caneel Bay on St. John during your trip. ”

We love Ritz Carlton St Thomas and had a great time there. We took our daughter in college and a few of her teammates (volleyball). They all had a lot of fun. We chartered out a powerboat for the day and island hopped to some of the BVI (british) destinations. They had too much fun at Soggy Dollar on Jost Van Dyke! The accommodations and staff at the Ritz are super. Rooms are real nice and staff is excellent. The property is clean and lovely and restaurant options are nice. We highly recommend it.”

Caribbean Splendor

From the moment we arrived at the Ritz Carlton in St. Thomas USVI we could tell we were in for a special Caribbean Vacation. The service from the bellhops and reception desk was welcoming and friendly. The concierge and activity personnel were knowledgeable and helpful. And the housekeeping crew went above and beyond to insure our stay was comfortable and clean with morning make-up and nightly turndown service. The cleaning was immaculate, and attention to detail impeccable, not a fingerprint or crumb to be found anywhere. Upon entering the unit we were impressed with the architectural details and finishes. The views from the unit and balconies was stunning. The two bedroom residence was very comfortable for two couples as we each enjoyed a private balcony that adjoined our master bedroom suites that overlooked the turquoise colored waters of the Caribbean. The unit also had a common large balcony off the livingroom. We enjoyed the use of the well appointed full kitchen in our unit and were impressed that it was cleaned daily for us by the housekeeping staff. Our unit was located only steps away from the beach that was furnished with padded beach chairs and luxurious towels. The beach bar and food service was excellent. The resort offered various water activities beachside, all within a 3-5 minute walk from our unit. The pools and hot tubs were clean and the hot tub was hot, as it should be, not luke warm. We truly enjoyed our stay at this resort. The service was over the top, the facilities were up-to-date clean, fresh, and upscale. The Caribbean setting is picturess and unique. We hope to return for another relaxing vacation in the near future. ”

Summer trades

This 1700 SF apartment had an incredible view looking across the bay to St. John. The summer Tradewinds made the humidity less affecting, so why not a summer trip! This is the RCDC slow period, so lots of places at the pool, and easy access to dining. Transportation is easy anywhere on the island, and from the RCDC a five minute taxi ride to Red Hook to catch the ferry to St. John and the BVI and the great beaches there. You have St Thomas (duty free/tax free shopping, St. John's gorgeous beaches and trip to the BVI for some of their great beaches to make your stay at the RCDC a most enjoyable one. Greg Lau ”

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at this wonderful property. The condo was spacious and beautifully appointed with very comfortable beds. Room With A View

The Ritz at St. Thomas was made accessible because of our relationship with 3rd Home. The fact is, we spent several years pampered by a Four Seasons relationship that left Ritz in the rear. But 3rd Home's relationship with Ritz introduced us to an amazing slice of St. Thomas, nestled 20 minutes from the square and 5 minutes from the local Red Hook. The staff was great. The cocktails were greater. The view was a treat each and every day. And if you want to dodge the tourism, it's rather easy to do with a hike and a snorkel with your own private guide, thanks to St. Thomas Adventures. All around great trip. ”

Relaaaaaaxing Time On St. Thomas

My Husband and I were joined by our son, daughter in law and grandson for a weeks stay at this fabulous resort. Christine Ochoa at 3rdHome helped us make this reservation so that we could attend a family wedding and the location was perfect for us. The property contacted us one month before our arrival to determine any special needs we might have from pre-arrival shopping, spa and restaurant reservations, driving directions, etc. They were great in providing us with a portable crib and high chair . The 2 bedroom suite did not have a full kitchen but we managed just fine with the space and small fridge and freezer. The resort it self is lovely and you have a variety of pools and spas to choose from or you can use the pools at the resort as well. The water sports package is great and you can use the sports equipment for a day or more depending on your desires. The fee to cover, kayaks, paddle boards, windsurfers, Hobie cats, snorkels and fins is definitely worth it if you have an active family! The resort is located 10 minutes by car from Red Hook, a town with a variety of restaurants and the ferries to St. John. The pool staff will assist you each day in setting your beach or pool chairs with towels and chair covers and the warm waters of Great Bay are mesmerizing. There are several restaurants on property so you literally could check in and never leave until you check out! ”

The property is gorgeous, the staff is very friendly, and the pool/beach area is great! Nothing bad to say about our stay there. I would recommend utilizing the concierge service as they recommend lots of great things to do. We did glass bottom night kayaking, went flyboarding in Lindberg Bay (ask for Randy!), and horseback riding on Lindquist Beach (Golden Age Ranch). The whole family was able to get the hang of flyboarding and we all loved it -- definitely recommended! The condo was very spacious and perfect for a family of 4. Thanks for a wonderful trip!”

This is the second year running we have enjoyed a week at the Ritz Carlton Club in St Thomas. The facility is beautiful, grounds, units, view. But what truly sets it apart are the staff who do everything to meet and exceed your expectations. It is conveniently located 5 minutes from Red Hook. We spent two afternoons on St John and 100% of the balance of our time lounging on the beach at the RCC. There are lots of great Resturaunts within a short cab ride away. ”

The Ritz Carlton Destination Club was a fantastic way to ring in the New Year. I spent two weeks in this lovely condominium with incredible views from each of the three patios. The service was impecible. If you are lucky enough to have Maryilyn & Elvi take care of you and your daily needs in your condo, you will find these two women go the extra step to make your stay fabulous. There was always daily activities or just relax at the beach. The pool and jacuzzi area is large and plenty of room for kicking back poolside with a very well concocted cocktail by Charles. This is a fun filled vacation for children. I even watched a Disney movie under the stars with the guest kids. I would have given 5 stars except the property is about 11 years old and some areas are starting to show its age. All in all this is an ideal place to vacation. Lots to do and see. Staff is warm and friendly. ”

Apartment was very luxurious and well equipped. The service at the resort faultless, every need catered for and altogether a truly fun and memorable holiday. The two bedrooms absolutely gorgeous, , large sitting and dining area, and fantastically well equipped kitchen. Literally 70 from the beach and luxury of comfortable loungers and plenty of them. Staff all very friendly and fun - whole resort and food excellent. I wouldn't want to have to use the sofa bed, but a top quality club and an absolute delight being there for the week.”

Beautiful property

The ritz st Thomas is a beautiful, full service resort that is short on service. The condo and grounds are right on the water and everyone has a spectacular view of the ocean. However this not ritz Carlton service or food. The only worthwhile resturaunt is gran palazzio. This is the only resturaunt with its own kitchen. All the other resturaunts on the property are served out of a central commissary kitchen which produced slightly better than hospital food. Eat off property in the town of Red Hook. Cook your own breakfast in the well equipped kitchen. The condo itself is still a 5 star with good beds, a/c and a wonderful covered patio to dine on or just stare at the ocean. The missing 5 th star is because it is not 5 star service anymore.”

Great resort

We had a flawless trip in there with family and friends until after we left! The service and apartment were impeccable. The weather was absolutely gorgeous. Water was nice but a bit dirty for a couple days with huge amount of seaweeds that got cleaned pretty quickly. But I left behind 3 new jars of my super expensive Sisley creams and the next day when I called they said they discarded them all! It was hard to believe because the beautiful glass jars are so nice that anyone can tell they are not garbage, specially when they are full! It was disappointing and a huge flaw on the face of that beautiful trip :( ”

Sensational St. Thomas

My family and I had a wonderful week at this beautiful property. We almost (almost!) felt guilty as we sipped our drinks lying by one of the Club's multiple pools while reading relative's emails about record subzero temps back home. The condo with a well laid out floor plan and large balcony is perfect for four people and the views from this particular unit are best of the best, day or night. We took advantage of the many activities offered by the resort including windsurfing, sailing, SUP, kayaking and meals served seaside. The service was what one expects at the Ritz - perfect - and the extensive property kept immaculate. The owners were quick to answer our pre travel questions and offered recommendations for area restaurants and activities. We happily give this resort/unit five stars and look forward to returning - our only disappointment was having to leave. ”

Fantastic Getaway

We made a last minute decision to take off after the holidays to the Ritz Carlton Club in St Thomas. We knew very little about the island or resort our only point of reference passing through on our way to other islands. The Ritz is on the East End which is a newly popular side of the island. The facilities, setting, unit and staff were all fantastic. A fabulous view 24/7 of St John. Easy access to the resturaunts of Red Hook and the East End. We cannot say enough about the staff at the resort! The entire trip exceeded our expectations. ”

Beautiful property. Well maintained grounds, resort, and residence. Adjacent to the Ritz Hotel and resort. All are kid friendly. The two bedroom suite had a great view, complete amenities, easy access near all services. The associates were all very helpful and readily available. The food and service at all the restaurants on the property exceeded those recommended by staff locally hands down for all meals. The beach and its amenities were wonderful. Access to St Thomas was easy and friendly as well as the return through customs. We visited St Johns by ferry. A five minute cab ride to the ferry terminal and a 15 minute ferry ride. Great views, nice people and wonderful food on St Johns. Suggest dinner at sunset at Zo Zo's with complimentary ferry ride too and from. Ritz Carlton St Thomas Destination Club

The Ritz Destination Club St Thomas is a beautiful property, very helpful and friendly staff, and lots to do for the entire family. We stayed in a 2 BR Residence for one week and a 2 BR Suite for the second week. The residence is a bit bigger with a full kitchen, the suite is smaller with only 2 mini-refrigerators (and no freezer) but the suite includes a full breakfast buffet. Quality of restaurants on property was very good. An added benefit is that we were able to meet the owners who participated in our exchange. We would go to this property again.”

We had a wonderful time in St Thomas at the Ritz Carlton Club. The condo was beautifully furnished with every amenity we needed. The property grounds were beautiful and the staff could not of been more friendly and helpful. We dined at many of the resort restaurants and had great meals at each one. I hope to go back again one day!”
