January 2023 Visit

The owner is lovely and extremely attentive. I do not want to give a poor review hence the 3 stars. I only stayed with my girlfriends for one night as we had to move to another location. We were supposed to stay for a week. Upon arrival the house reeked of sewer gas and the main power fuse kept tripping. Despite adding water to all the pee traps in all sinks, toilets and showers it still smelled terrible. My girlfriends refused to come in the house and sat in the car for over an hour while I tried to run around and fix things. The owner did an amazing job trying to fix our problems and had the neighbor come over and an electrician in the morning as well as a plumber. But it still smelled too terrible to stay there for a week. The hot tub was inoperable and completely frozen over. They do not shovel as was expected, but because it snowed and rained the steps to the door were frozen solid and could not be shoveled, leaving the entry more of a 6 foot slide and incredibly dangerous. The downstairs of the house is nice. The bedrooms are basic and very small. I would assume it is a great place to stay in the summer but the winter I would not recommend unless they start maintaining the snow removal on a regular basis and get the sewer issues resolved.”

Wonderful experience vacation

The location is breathtaking and really you need to go no further to enjoy the vacation, there is as awesome gravel road along the river 3 miles in and a loop trail to hike as well. We visited Lofoten, Lodingen, Harstaad, and took an amazing boat trip into the Trollfjord. Would highly recommend as a great spot to base a trip to northern Norway!”

Lovely location and house

We found the location of this house superb and would highly recommend a visit to the area if you like solitude, nature and beautiful surroundings. The house is beautifully designed but rather spartan ( bathrooms and bedrooms). Some maintenance is needed. ( drains and cooker hood extractor) The host was friendly and helpful.”
