Sonoma Valley Modern Retreat

Our two modern houses have everything you could ask for when visiting the wine country: expansive decks and dramatic accordion doors that bring the outside in.

The main house has three bedrooms and two-and-half bathrooms. A beautiful pool and hot-tub offer views of our secluded two acres set amongst California live oaks, bay and Douglas fir trees. A "winter" creek runs through the property. Enjoy our outdoor barbecue, numerous seating areas and outdoor heaters. (Please note: The pool is heated by a passive solar system, which means it's not heated in the winter months. Our pool season usually lasts from May to the end of October, but the season depends on the amount of sunshine.)

The second house has two bedrooms and two bathrooms as well as a full kitchen, outdoor seating and a barbecue.

In total, there are five bedrooms and four-and-a half baths. Both houses have our wireless Sonos stereo system, well-stocked kitchens, laundry facilities, and NetFlix and Amazon streaming services.

The houses, equipped with air conditioning, have plenty of privacy, and your neighbors will likely be redtail hawks, wild turkeys, foxes and deer.

After a long day of touring the local wineries, retire to one of two master bedrooms, each with a king bed and ensuite bathroom. The large third bedroom has two twin beds, and the other two smaller bedrooms have trundle beds that roll out and up into two twin beds.

Take a walk down the quiet country lane, or better yet, bring bikes and enjoy one of Sonoma's best biking regions. We are within walking distance of one of Sonoma's best regional parks, Annadel State Park. Historic Jack London State Park is only 15 minutes by car, and Sugarloaf State Park is 10 minutes away.

The cute town of Kenwood is only five minutes by car. Glen Ellen's top-rated restaurants are 15 minutes, and downtown Sonoma is 25 minutes. Quiet and secluded, the house is also just minutes from some of Sonoma Valley's best and most picturesque wineries, including Ledson, Kunde, and St. Francis.
