September 2025Cottage On The Beach
This cozy cottage was perfect for us and our stay in North Berwick wound up being one of the high points of our time in Scotland, which is noteworthy in that we also went to Edinburgh, Isle of Skye and Inverness while we were in country. We saw some excellent sunsets from the back garden and it was quite relaxing to gaze at the beach, including the dramatically changing tides. We also quite enjoyed strolling through the town for shopping, dining and an occasional drink (there are some excellent restaurants in town). The coastal hikes as well as the hike to North Berwick Law were all wonderful and readily accessible on foot from the cottage. The hosts were incredible communicators; the how-to directions for the cottage were clear and helpful, as well the hosts offered immensely helpful suggestions for places to go and things to do not only in North Berwick but in nearby towns as well as destinations throughout Scotland. We took advantage of much of the advice and were certainly rewarded. We would happily stay here again and recommend to anyone contemplating a trip to Scotland. Thanks to the hosts for sharing their property through the ThirdHome program! ”

September 2025Beautiful Cottage by the Sea
Fantastic cottage by the sea in the heart of Scotland's golf coast. The most charming seaside stay with beautiful views, beach access out the back garden gate, and within walking distance to everything in the lovely town. Jennifer and Jim were excellent hosts and communication was timely and thorough. Perfect for 2 couples. We can't wait to go back!”

September 2024Enjoyed it!
Quaint little cottage with an amazing bay view from the back of the house. Hosts left us a handwritten note and some homemade goodies to enjoy. Nice touch and attention to detail.”
