House Rules
⧪⧪ HOUSE RULES ⧪⧪
i.e the boring, but important, stuff
We trust that you will treat our home with respect as if it were your own - thank you for that! However, there are a few simple rules that need to be followed during your stay. By making this reservation, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and will comply with all house rules. You also acknowledge and accept that additional fees will be charged for if any of the rules below are not adhered to:
► Quiet hours: 10PM – 7AM. No music is to be played outside after 10PM. You agree to pay violation fees assessed by the city or county for incidents that occurred during your stay, including sound violations and all other fines by not complying with city or county rules. We can have our permit revoked if these rules are not followed but more importantly, please help us to simply be good neighbors.
► Smoking is not allowed at any time inside or outside of the property.
► Fires are not allowed anywhere except for the propane backyard firepit and BBQ. Please note we are located in a high-risk fire zone so please help us prevent wildfires. Do not use the fire pit in case of high winds. Please check here for burn status: sbcfire.org/#CurrentWeatherWarnings
► Please remove shoes upon entry when possible.
► Please keep ‘high risk’ foods/drinks (pasta sauce, red wine, etc) out of the couch / living room area as spills are extremely difficult to clean.
► Sensitive Toilets. Please do not flush anything other than toilet paper in the toilets (no wipes of any kind, feminine hygiene products, paper towels, etc.).
► No parties. We want you to have fun, but please be reasonable.
► Only the guests on the reservation are allowed to use the property (unless otherwise discussed).
► Overnight guest max: 8 people.
► Keep exterior doors closed at all times - Only the door with the screen can remain open. The desert is full of animals that call it home and open doors invite bugs, mice, scorpions, and other desert critters. No one wants that as a surprise house guest.
► No oil-based sun products are to be used before using the pool/hot tub in order to keep the water as pristine as possible.
► Please use the provided black makeup removal towels or makeup wipes to remove any makeup.
► No commercial or location-based photo/video shoots. Inquire with the host about additional fees.
► Checkout. We will send you checkout instructions, but we will ask that you please perform some basic checkout items. For example: load dirty dishes into the dishwasher prior, lock all doors and windows, shut shades, return items to the original places, etc. It doesn’t need to be perfect, but we ask that you do your best to make it look presentable upon checkout.
FINES:
We want you and all future guests to enjoy the space at Calma, YV. In order to do so we need to enforce the above rules with the utmost diligence. If house rules are broken, we reserve the right to apply following fees:
► $100 unauthorized pet fee.
► $1000 unauthorized commercial photo/video shoot fee.
► $1500 - $5000 fine for noise violations will be passed through to the guests.
► Market rate for cost to replace any broken and/or damaged items.
LIABILITY WAIVER:
► By making your reservation you and the other members in your party as THE GUESTS agree to release THE HOSTS and OWNERS from all liability, including financial responsibility relating to injuries & personal property damage that may occur during your stay.
► THE GUESTS understand that using the pool, hiking and climbing anywhere on the property is at your own risk and that special risks may be involved with using the pool and hiking and/or climbing.
► THE GUESTS accept full responsibility for any bodily injury arising while on the property and hold HOSTS and OWNERS harmless.
