July 2025Cloud 9, Russell
We had a truly magical stay at Cloud 9 in Russell, Northland, New Zealand. The views were world class, taking our breath away. This stunning home was superbly appointed, with everything one might need for a week long stay including gym equipment and a washer/dryer. The house layout ensures privacy with a grand master downstairs and two big bedrooms upstairs. Our family of five found it to be spacious even in Winter with all doors closed. In Summer the thoughtfully laid out decks would be a great asset. We found Russell to be absolutely charming and with so much to do we easily filled a week. Full of character and excellent restaurants - be sure to try the Duke, The Gables and Sage at Parua Bay. We also enjoyed the Sunday service at New Zealand’s oldest church. Our three boys found the fishing to be a highlight and you’ll be spoilt for choice for secret spots, just ask the locals! Snapper was enjoyed several times during our week! We felt so lucky to make family memories our children will remember for a lifetime at Cloud 9. Thank you so much Third Home and Cloud 9 for having us.”
