September 2025Absolute Must-Stay
We stayed at The Gate Lodge and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, Aoife was a wonderful hostess, warm, thoughtful, and always ready with the best recommendations. She even went out of her way to help us plan our golf-focused trip, making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The location is ideal, within 15–30 minutes of everywhere we wanted to visit and most importantly close to incredible golf. Essential amenities like a grocery store, cozy pubs, and great restaurants were all nearby. The lodge itself was spotless, charming, and well equipped. The kitchen had more than everything we needed, the bedroom was cozy and restful, and the living area offered views so stunning we could even see the Cliffs of Moher from the shower window. We especially loved the setting with two mini horses greeting us each day as we came and went, while cows grazed in the pasture across the street. It made for the perfect scenery next to the cliffs and ocean. One of the highlights of our stay was the outdoor seaweed bath, the perfect way to relax after long days on the course. Between the thoughtful design of the lodge, the beautiful surroundings, and Aoife’s genuine hospitality, this was a truly special stay. This is an absolute must-stay property, and we will definitely be back. -Felicia & Jason”
