Description

Elfin Cottage is a traditional Irish farmer’s cottage, lovingly restored with great care in collaboration with local craftspeople. That close dialogue shaped every detail of the project, with a shared commitment to using local, organic, and sustainable materials wherever possible. Respect for the natural landscape—and for the cottage’s humble roots—guided the restoration from start to finish. The result is a calm, pared-back aesthetic grounded in natural textures and simple design, creating a quietly restorative space where it’s easy to slow down and settle in.

Inside, the cottage offers two luxurious bedrooms, a beautifully finished master bathroom, and a spacious, welcoming living area centred around a cosy fireplace. A fully equipped kitchen makes longer stays effortless, and practical comforts like a washing machine, dishwasher, dining area, private entrance, and free WiFi are all in place. Step outside to your private garden and relax in the hot tub while taking in peaceful views of the sea, countryside, and surrounding hills. With its ground-floor layout and serene setting on a quiet lane, Elfin Cottage feels both comfortably secluded and thoughtfully appointed for a memorable stay.

Perfectly positioned for exploring the best of County Clare, the cottage is just 4.3 miles from the iconic Cliffs of Moher and 3.7 miles from Doolin Cave. Doolin village itself is nearby for traditional music sessions, cosy pubs, and some of Ireland’s best seafood. Outdoor lovers can enjoy spectacular coastal walks, hiking in the Burren National Park, or cycling along the Wild Atlantic Way. For day trips, the Aran Islands are easily reached by ferry from Doolin Pier, while Aillwee Cave and its birds-of-prey centre make a great family outing. Whether you’re here for adventure, scenery, or simply to breathe in the Atlantic air, Elfin Cottage is an ideal base.
