Places of Interest
- Quadrado (5 minutes) - The beating heart of the town: this is a must see specially off season. The colors of houses and trees sorrounding the Quadrado are a perfect photo set.
- Praia dos Coqueiros (5 minutes) - Palmtree Beach is a small beach with medium waves and most of the time protected by coral reefs.
- Igreja de Sao Joao Batista (5 minutes) - The second oldest church of Brasil. It is a small and well maintained church and shows how early Portuguese kept their catholic faith while exploring new parts of the world.

March 2023Splendid Vacation House in Trancoso
Rachel's gorgeous home in Trancoso is well located, a leisurely 15-minute walk to the Quadrado or beautiful nearby beaches. It is well appointed and comfortably accommodates 8 adults or a large family. It has 4 separate private suites, so everyone has their own space, and the outdoor entertaining and pool area is terrific. Juliana, the housekeeper, took great care of us and made a delicious breakfast daily. There are a number of hills and cobblestoned streets in Trancoso, so you may want to rent a car, particularly if you want to visit a different beach every day. ”
